Summer to rember (flash back)

It had been a week since ej had "paused" their relationship and Gina felt so alone. Ashlyn and Ej at music camp and kourtney on holiday in France. This was the first time gina didn't have a club or some type of school during the summer she had Quit them all for the summer at least it was refreshing and relaxing but she hated being alone with her own thoughts it was really fucking depressing.

Gina decide to go to the lake that has been Abandoned since she made up a rumour someone died their it was her special place for only her....Ricky Bowen!
"Oh hey" said Ricky with a hand full of popcorn in his mouth "I thought I was the only person who came here"
Gina didn't know what to say she was in a very UnFlattering hoodie her hair is a very messy bun and visible acne. She walked closer to him the bench was small is it weird if I sit there will be so close
"Can l-"
"Sure" Ricky chuckle moving over
Gina sat down and stared at the lake talking was one of her strong suites but after the week she's been having she wasn't up for talking
"Your Gina Porter right I watch you a lot"
Ummmm what!
Ricky takes a moment relies how that sounded
"Mean watch at dance not like creepy I just see you when I'm passing to the skatepark"
"I didn't know anyone saw me dance"
"Why don't you join a club"
"My mother thinks it a waste"
Mother wow that's a lot to unpack
"Mother?" Ricky questions
Gina chuckle
"Why do you have popcorn" she said change the topic
"The munchies" he said pulling out a joint
"I'm good"
Ricky slides it back in his pocket
Ricky's phone rings it's his mum is quickly turns it off.
"Is everything okay"
"Yeah I don't know just family"
"I get it me and my family aren't the greatest"
"I'm sorry"
"Don't be"
They both smile in comfortable silence
This is kinda nice being with Ricky I don't know maybe I misjudged him maybe he's not the annoying guy I thought he was in junior year
Gina Rest her head on ricky shoulder as she closes her eyes
Ricky looks at her wow she so pretty what is happening
After that day gina and ricky met up most days sometimes they would walk around other go to the movies. They both loved spending time together but secretly or not so secretly wanted to be more.

Gina arrived at the lake she had been on edge all week because she knew ej was coming back. She see ricky lying on the ground.
"What are you doing"
"Thinking about the meaning of life"
"So high"
"Not today Actually I need a clear head"
"For what?"
"To swim..."
"Ha"
Ricky turns I eyebrows rised
"Oh your not kidding"
Ricky gets up and takes off his shirt and shoes throwing them on the ground.
Wow it kinda hot
"Come on princess"
Gina roles her eyes taking off her jacket and shoes. She walks towards the water carefully
Ricky grabs her making them both fall in, Gina frantically slash grabbing on to Ricky.
"You asshole! Why would you do that" Gina pants "god ricky"
"Sorry I was joking around"
Gina lets go of Ricky and begins to swim around she pushes her hair out of her face. Ricky swims towards her trying not to get to close just in case.
"Are you still mad princess" Ricky said
"Yes I am"
"Isn't this taking your mind of life"
"Life?"
"You've been looking worried I don't know"
He notice wow. I guess this did take my mind of things
Gina swims closer to ricky
"Thanks for this"
"Really"
"Yeah"
Ricky and Gina stare into each other eyes they get closer and closer. Gina looks at Ricky's lip she leans in and kiss him. Gina quickly pulls out "sorr-" ricky kisses Gina back, Gina put her finger through his hair. They both pull away smiling.
"Wow that was" ricky chuckles "I've been waiting for that"
"Yeah..."
That kiss was so...I mean I've never kissed someone like that I want to kiss him again I really want to
Ricky and Gina quickly get out the lake, they both sit on the rock along the lake not saying anything.
"You can't say anything"
"What?"
"What about ej"
"Didn't he break up with you"
" not we're on a break"
"So your gonna get back together"
"Yeah I mean we're just friends"
"That kiss wasn't friendly"
Beep beep
"It's ej he's coming back early I have to go sorry"
Ricky watchs Gina walk away his eye filling up with tears. Gina looks back for a moment then carries on walking.

This was the last time they saw each other before senior year.
