I put my headphones in.

I've been trying so hard today trying not to act a fool around him.

But of course I fail.

His smile... just makes me, smile.

I started walking home and he runs up to me... here comes the butterflies. I take my ear buds out, "hi Finn." "Hi, so I was thinking uhm, do you wanna go to homecoming with me?" He asked. "Really?" I said. He smiles, "really." "Yes! I will!" I said. "Great! I'll see you tomorrow then!" He said and left.

I smiled as I walked home.

When I got home I FaceTimed my friend, Alice. "I have to tell you something major!" I said. She smiles, "and that is?" "I'm going to homecoming with Finn!" I said. She makes a weird face, "are you serious? You're going with Finn? You know he plays with girls hearts right? He probably did that as a prank?" She said. My heart dropped. "Thanks Alice, you didn't have to be such an asshole about it." I said and hung up, crying. I grabbed my diary and started writing.

I told my mom that he asked me and we went shopping. "Honey, I don't think Alice was being serious, maybe she was jealous." My mom said. "That could be true." I said looking at dresses. A light pink dress caught my eye. I took it off of the rack. My mom smiles, "go try it on."

I walked out and my mom smiles. "Honey, I love it! Do you?" She asked. I looked at myself in the mirror. The problem is that, what if Finn did this as a prank? I shook my head, "I love it, sorry I zoned out." I said. "It's okay, do you wanna try anything else on?" She asked and I shook my head. I went back into the dressing room and took it off. I put my other clothes on and walked out.

We paid for it and walked out. My mom started driving. "Are you okay y/n? You seem upset." She said. "I'm fine. The words that Alice said are just still playing in my head." I said. She looked at me with a frown. "Y/n. Don't listen to her, I knew she was a bad person." She said. I nod, "s-she was." I admitted. My mom held my hand as she drove. We then made it home.

The next day, 1 hour before homecoming

My mom put a necklace on me, it was my grandma's necklace. I smiled as she placed it on me. "I wish she was here to you know." I said and my mom nods. "I wish she was here too." She said, my father then walks in. "There's someone here for you." He said. I raised my eyebrow.

I walked downstairs and saw Alice. I rolled my eyes. "What do you want?" I said. "Y/n, I'm sorry for going crazy on you, I just don't want to see you hurt." She said. "He's not going to, I talk to him, do you not think I know what his personality it like?" I said. "I'm just saying." She said. "Okay." I shrug. "I'll just see you there." She said and left.

I sat in the living room waiting for Finn. The doorbell rings. My dad walks to the door. "Hello, you are?" He said. "Finn, I'm here to take your daughter to homecoming." He said. They shook hands. I walked up and Finn smiled. "I'll have her back by 9." He said. "Have fun." My mom and dad say hugging me.

We walked to the car. He opened the door for me and I got in. "Are you ready?" He smiled. "Yeah." I smiled too. He drove to the school. We got there and he parked. We walked to the front. "Hey Finn and y/n." Millie and Noah said walking up. I smiled and hugged Millie. "How have you been Millie? I'd love to catch up." I smiled. She smiled. "I've been great! I'd love to catch up too! How have you been?" She asked. "Amazing." I smiled.

We walked into the gym. It was so pretty. A slow song went on and me and Finn danced to it. A few hours later it was time for king and queen.

"Alice may and Finn wolfhard."

My heart dropped. Millie looked at me. I looked at her. She held my hand and whispered into my ear, "sorry." I shook my head, "it's not your fault." I watched them getting crowned. Alice pulled Finn close and kissed him. Everyone cheered. What a bitch. Saying she didn't want to see me get hurt but she's hurting me.

She grabbed the microphone. "Just giving everyone what they want y/n, love you! You really thought that Finn likes you!" She said walking close to me. Everyone backs away. She walks closer to me, "nobody will love you! Not your mother, father, me, Millie, your family, or FINN." I could feel myself boiling. Her head then explodes. Holy shit.

Everyone started to rush out. Finn bends down and looks at her. I run out. My heart beating fast. Body covered in Alice's blood. I heard sirens and started running.

I then bolted up.

I catch my breath. Was that a dream. I looked over and saw a crown on my night stand. The queens crown. It was 6:30 am. Time for school. I rushed getting ready. I made it and saw Alice's locker. There were candles and pictures of her.
