Part Two! The Changing Rooms

Devon was so excited, she had just enough money saved to find the perfect dress to impress Jay. She found it hard to concentrate the rest of the day, it just went by in a daze, she was set on the shopping trip, her and the girls had planned for that afternoon.

It was finally the end of school, she had made it through the day. Just. Devv waited by the locker she shared with Nat until they were all there and ready to go home. They walked and talked all the way to the park, that was where they went there separate ways. Hollie and Rob both lived on the same street to they said bye and left. Then Beth went “Bye Guys see you at five”

Then Natalie left to go home “Meet you at the bus stop later” giving Devv and Soph a hug, and the she was gone too. Until there was only Devon and Sophie left just like that morning. They decide to stay and talk about the food for the party, since they didn't get that done at lunch, because they were all too excited to plan the boring things, like food and drink. All they could think about were the dresses, the dresses, the dresses. What colour they would wear, what if one of them pick the same dress as someone else. Would the wear long dresses short dresses. These were the 'Important' things. Food didn't even cross there minds. After a few minutes of chatting, both Devon and Sophie decided it would be best if they got home and got ready for the night ahead.

Devon took out her ipod and put her earphone in, she walked the ten minutes home listening to The Wanted and singing to herself. She reached her her gate and walked in, her mum was home from work and was already cooking their dinner. Mmmm, they were having pasta, Devon's favourite food. “Hi mum, dinner smells good” she said as she walked into the kitchen.

“Hi darling thanks, have you had a good day at school?” said Devv's mum Julie.

“Yeah thanks, were all really excited about going shopping tonight” said Devv. “Oh and thanks for taking us all into town later.”

“No worries, what time are we picking everyone up at?” said Julie.

“Were meeting Nat at the bus stop near her house at about 5:10, Beth is coming here for 5:00 and we will be picking Hollie and Sophie from the park at 5:15 I think” replied Devon.

“Okay that's fine, dinner will be ready in about fifteen minutes, so go get changed now and then we will be ready to go out.”

“Will do mum” said Devv.

Devon raced up stares into her bedroom, dumped her bag and coat on the floor and went straight to her CD player. 'Which The Wanted CD today' thought Devv. She decided to go with Battleground. In went the CD, up went the volume- as loud as it could go. She stared singing at the top of her lungs to the first song on the CD, Glad You Came. “You cast a spell on me, spell on me....” She sung, as she got changed in to a light blue vest top, denim shorts and Gray tights. She would put on her The Wanted hoodie when she went out. The smell of tomato pasta was wafting up the stairs, as she quickly brushed her long blonde hair and put it into a high ponytail. Re-did her make up and sprayed herself with some perfume and she was ready, just as her mum called her for dinner. She half ran half jumped down the stairs. “Careful Devv, we don't want you in a cast for your party do we?”

That was one thing that Devon defiantly didn't want to happen, she was to excited. “No mum” she laughed. Devv and her mum ate there dinner quickly, and then washed their plates and glasses up.

They were both ready to go when there was a knock at the door, it was Beth. “Hi Beth” said Devv.

“Hello Beth” said Julie. “Shall we get going then we don't want to leave Natalie waiting at the bus stop in the cold now.”

“Okay mum, I’ve got everything, my phone, key's and purse.”

“Good” said Julie “ Go get in the car then”

Devon and Beth got in the back and they set off to get Natalie. They only drove five minutes to get Natalie from the bus stop. She quickly got in and they set off to the park for Sophie and Hollie. They had only been waiting a few minutes when Devon and her mum got there. Now they were all here they could finally get into town.

After fifteen minutes they were pulling into a car park in the centre of town, right near there favourite shops: River Island, H&M and Primark, they could spend hours just in those few shops. “Thanks mum” said Devv “I will call you when we want picking up okay?”

“Okay darling, have fun girls.” said Julie

“Thanks Mrs Jones” said Hollie

“It's okay.”

The girls, Devon, Hollie, Natalie, Beth and Sophie, all got our of the car and started walking in the direction of the first shop- River Island. They walking inside they all stopped, all they could do was stare, all the clothes were beautiful. Well of course they had to be, because they needed to dress to impress, if they were going to catch the eye of that special person. Devv when all girly think of Jay. Only six days and they will be there, in the same room as each other only metres apart. She quickly snapped out of her daydream only to here Sophie say “Oh... my... god”

They all laughed. “Lets get shopping” said Hollie with a big grin on her face. They all split up, and headed off in different directions. Devv and Nat stuck together walking over to the first rack of clothes they could see. “No, nope, definitely not, well that's just hideous” was all Devv could here from next to her, she couldn't help but laugh to herself, Natalie was very picky with her clothes, as was Devv but she was not so bad. “What” said Nat as she herd Devv laughing. “Oh nothing babe, your just very picky with what you buy that's all. But there's nothing wrong with wanting to feel comfortable.” said Devv.

“Oh shh” said Nat as she playfully punched Devon in the arm, “Your no better.”

“Oh I know but some clothes are just awful though, it's not my fault.” They laughed. They quickly moved on to the next rack of clothes, a range of prom dresses, this could be promising thought Devon. Then she herd a gasp from Nat, who was stood next to her. She had found it and Devv knew it, Natalie only made that sound when something was so shocking she couldn't put it into words or if something was so amazing she wanted to scream. Devv knew it was the latter. Natalie had found her dress, and from what she could tell it would be prefect for her. “Oh my Goddddd” Screamed Nat “I think I’m in love.” The dress she had found was black, it had a cross over love heart neckline, and flared into layered ruffles from the waist. She would look stunning in it. They grabbed the dress in the right size and headed off to find the rest of the girls. Natalie couldn't wait to show Beth, Soph and Hollie, she was bouncing with excitement, Devv thought she was going to be sick. They found Hollie, Sophie and Beth gushing over a tight, hot pink, thigh length dress on a manikin in the centre of the store. The whole top part of the dress was covered with slightly darker pink crystals and it puffed out from the waist in a tutu style. When Devon and Natalie reached the others, all they could do was stare. The dress was beautiful but who was going to get it? Beth? Soph? Or Hollie? This was going to really test their friendship to the max. “So what you guys going to do huh?” said Devv with a questioning look on her face. “Well I'm happy for one of you two to get it, I don't mind, either one of you will look amazing in it” said Beth.

“Thanks are you sure that's okay?” said Sophie

“Yeah I don't have enough for it anyway” Beth said.

“How much it is” Asked Natalie still hugging her dress in fear it might run away.

“£55” Squealed Sophie “That's it I'm out I only have £40, Hollie if you can afford it, get it”

“Are you sure babe” said Hollie “I can lend you the money” she offered

“Nah it's okay you get it.” said Sophie kindly.

“Ekk thanks guys I'm going to try it on now” said Hollie excitedly.
