i wonder around the empty house aimlessly, having been bored out of my mind for the past hour. i pass by two bathrooms on my walk and stop at the kitchen before noting a pattern, everything seems to be just a little messy. so i do what comes naturally to me.

i clean.

in a house of two boys, it's almost a given that the house is a little array.

plus jimin payed me an awful lot for just head,, it's the least i could do.

i wipe down the kitchen counter as i hear the front door unlock, and footsteps directly up the stairs where the bedrooms are located.

i continue what i'm doing assuming it was jungkook, he didn't notice me anyway.

maybe cleaning the kitchen will
be a nice surprise, why don't i cook something too? i'm sure he's hungry after work.

i search around for whatever ingredients they might have, settling on a simple but nice meal. somewhat quick to make.

i hover around the freshly cleaned oven as i watch the vegetables simmer, and the rice cook.

after only 20 minutes, it's almost all prepared. that's also when i finally get a visitor in the kitchen.

"jimin what are you cooking? it smells fantastic— oh, soohyun?"

i turn around and give him a bright smile and a small wave, "i was told to stay, so i decided to clean a bit because i got bored. that didn't work, and i figured you would be hungry, and i am too," i giggled, grabbing two bowls and pouring the food into it, "so i made us dinner!"

a surprised expression rests on jungkook's face, not knowing what to do or feel. his body takes over for him, setting down at the bar table where i sat down the bowls, and pulled a chair around so i could face him.

"y-you didn't have to do any of that you know."

"well, yeah, but like i said, i had nothing better to do, really."

he looks up, chopsticks still in his mouth. he slowly removes them while maintaining eye contact.

"you made me dinner though? when you knew i was home for work?"

my eyes widen, "u-uh, yeah? are you bothered by that. i just thought it would be nice-"

"no no! it's very kind. sweet, really. i don't know anything about you but you cared enough to make me an entire meal. and clean the house."

i smile and blush, looking down, "yeah well, i'm just that nice."

the room falls to silence as he stops asking questions, and we both continue to eat.

placing my chopsticks in my now empty bowl, i look up at jungkook.

he has his head thrown back, slouching in his chair. "that was one of the best meals i've had, my mom would be jealous. where did you learn to cook like that?"

i chuckle at his exaggeration, "growing up my parents weren't around a lot, so i made friends with the maids in the house. one specifically, and she taught me how to cook. she's the true culinary genius, i just remember what she taught me."

he weighs his head back down to look at me, "i bet she enjoyed it as much as you did."

i feel a sheepish smile dance across my face, i really hope it did.

"hey, by the way jungkook, my favorite color is yellow."

he smiles, "mine is blue."

and just like that, jungkook and i talked the rest of the afternoon. getting to know one another.
