"First day of sixth year!" Your mum says to you as you carry your trunk down the stairs, "how do you feel?"
"I would feel better if you would help me out with this." You say nodding toward the giant luggage in your arms. Your mum takes your stuff for you and you both get in the car. On the way you sing and talk about the classes you'll be taking, boys you've had your eye on. As usual you leave out the bit about fancying Draco. Though you are a Hufflepuff and honestly not that fond of the Potters, your mother is not only a Gryffindor, but was friends with the Potters as well as the other marauders. Your mother has never taken kindly to any of the Malfoys' and they return the sentiment. You and Draco though, you get on quite well. You seem to be the only one he takes to whos not in his tight Slytherin circle. When you arrive at Kings Cross and you and your mother make it onto platform 9 ¾ you almost run right into the Malfoys'. You and Draco have agreed to pretend not to get on very well in front of your parents, just as a safety net, but you know that as soon as they're gone you'll end up sharing a compartment. This time though he doesn't seem to notice you, he is preoccupied with something on his cart. Your mother shoots a glare at Lucius before rushing you off towards the train.
"Now make sure you've got everything." Your mum says looking at your cart.
"I'll be fine Mum, this isn't my first time doing this." You sigh giving her a hug.
"Ok, send an owl if you need anything, alright." she said, giving you a small peck on the forehead.
"Alright Mum." You say, getting on the train "I love you, goodbye"
"Goodbye, I love you (Y/n)!" She shouted through the window.
When you pulled your head back inside the compartment you expected to see Draco but instead were met with none other than Harry Potter.
"Listen," He said, "you seem like a nice guy, and Cedric talked about you alot, so i figured i should do this."
"Do what now?" You ask
"Draco is no good, he's always up to something and he's in Slytherin, you shouldn't trust him." Harry whispered to you, leaning in close.
You step back, looking at him, "Draco's no good? You're the one who always seems to be in some sort of danger." you snap at him.
"Ok, yeah, but-" he starts.
"Draco's up to something?" you interrupt him, "for starters, you have no proof of that, second off, he's not the one who disappears and is heard whispering things about who knows what to the other two who are also constantly in danger, nice going by the way, roping more people into your trouble." You continue angrily.
"You know what," Harry begins once more.
"And all this coming from a Gryfindor, the house known for people who are "brave" to the point of stupidity and danger." You finish crossing your arms.
"Ok, that was extremely rude for a Hufflepuff." Harry said in shock.
"Excuse me?" You say offended.
"You're supposed to be nice and listen to people not yell and argue." he said with a confused look on his face.
"I'll have you know i was sorted into Hufflepuff for my loyalty, sense of justice, and workmanship, which i feel i just proved." You say matter of factly, making sure to knock Harry in the shoulder as you leave. While you are walking through the train looking for Draco, you see Luna Lovegood in a compartment on her own. You stop to say hi as Luna is one of your only friends other than Draco and a couple of other Hufflepuffs. You tell her you can only stay for a couple of minutes as you need to find Draco, but she tells you to go right away. She said something about the creatures in her bones telling her something was wrong, which threw you off, so you decided to listen. When you found the compartment he was in, he was alone on the ground hugging his legs. When you opened the compartment he looked ready to yell and you knew he had been crying, but when he saw you he just grabbed you and hugged you.
