KAELYN MAY BE INVINCIBLE, but her morale was not. She came across the interior of what must have once been the Avengers compound and saw Star-Lord becoming overpowered by two of Thanos's soldiers. As quickly as she could, she took one of them out with her spear while the masked hero did his best to take out the other. The soldier on top of Quill was taken out at the last moment by a blaster shot. Seeing the danger over here eradicated, she glanced at the green-skinned woman facing Quill. Seeing a glance of recognition in his eyes, she left the moment alone.

There were so many soldiers on this battlefield she did not know. Some she had gotten a chance to meet outside of life-threatening circumstances, like Bruce Banner who often frequented the compound. As well as Black Widow, although Kaelyn had yet to see her in the battle. She hoped the woman wasn't wounded, but it would be hard to know until the dust cleared.

Despite the familiar faces, there were many she fought alongside but had never seen in her life. Kaelyn had only recently heard of the true wonders of Wakanda, but now seeing their powerful and decorated soldiers she wondered how they had ever hidden in the shadows. Same with those of the Mystic Arts, Kaelyn was utterly fascinated by them. However, now was not the time for fascination. It was time for war.

She could hear multiple people speaking over the comms in their ears, but it was all gibberish to her as she was consumed by battle. Kaelyn amazed herself with how many people she could take out at once. Being invincible had its perks in situations. However, the inability to get harmed was not equivalent to the inability to get overwhelmed.

Soon enough as soldiers began to flush around her, Peter was by her side, taking them out along with her. His webs clung to a solider and brought his face to meet the business end of her spear while she used her jet propulsors to turn their heads to dust.

They watched as Clint Barton ran past with the gauntlet, passing it to the Black Panther as he sprinted through the soldiers to get it to the quantum tunnel. Kaelyn was not a big believer in God, but oh she was praying they would make it in time. She couldn't lose this. Not again.

She blinked and Peter was no longer by her side. Alone in the battlefield, she wanted to panic, but she knew she had to keep her head on straight. Her eyes caught a glance of a woman whose powers burned amber threw rubble the size of houses at Thanos and he sliced through them with ease. Looking away from that, she could see the gauntlet discarded on the ground in the heat of the battle. Knowing what she had to do, she ran for it while Thanos was distracted.

Holding the gauntlet in her arms it was heavy, almost enough to drop it, but she didn't spend hours in training for her to not be able to lift a hunk of metal. She threw the gauntlet back to the Black Panther and he caught it, but not before getting caught in a storm of rocks being caused by one of Thanos's creatures.

Cursing to herself, she sighed with relief when the Panther tossed the gauntlet for Peter to catch it with his webs and swing out of harm's way. Watching as he fought of tens of soldiers with one hand still on the gauntlet all she could think to herself was, I am so in love.
