Mal dragged himself down the stairs and to the front door. Definitely. Definitely they needed a butler. He yanked the door open. "What?!"
Dante Nyland stood there with a sheepishly crooked grin. "Hullo!"
OFish
Maddie squealed happily. "He's here?!"
Marcy gave a tired smile. "Yeah, he's here but you can't see him."
"Why not?" Maddie pouted.
"Because it's the middle of the night and you have school tomorrow. It's Saturday."
"Ugh! I hate going to school on Saturdays!"
"Take your wide eyed self to sleep, girl!"
Maddie went to look in her mirror. "My eyes are wide."
"I can see." Marcy did have on her glasses.
Maddie shrugged and came back to her bed. She got in and let her big sister tuck her in. "What room is he in?"
"He's in the cellar."
"Why?!"
"That's where Mal put him."
Maddie was so mad at him!
Marcy could tell and smirked. "Go to sleep, Glowworm."
Maddie closed her eyes to plot.
Marcy left and went to her room. Mal was still up and pacing. She climbed in the bed and took her glasses off.
"How can you sleep at a time like this?!" He railed.
"It's-" She checked the time on her phone. "2:03AM."
He glared.
She simply laid down and closed her eyes.
"I can't believe you're really going to sleep while that asswipe is just downstairs!"
"She's already pregnant; what's he going to do?"
He was fit to be tied.
"If you get in bed, I'll rub your back."
He stilled. "With scratchies?"
She fought a smile. "With scratchies."
He got in the bed and turned his back on her.
She reached out to rub and scratch his back.
He relaxed. "I'm still mad."
"Yes, you are."
"Don't patronize me."
"He's so little. Leave him alone."
"He is not little!"
She slapped his back. "Leave him alone!"
He grumbled.
"They have to figure out their road together. We cannot and will not interfere."
He kept mum.
She pinched his back. "Repeat it back to me!"
"Ow!" She had a good chunk of muscle. "Okay! Alright! We won't interfere!"
She let him go before kissing the spot.
He melted.
She left him alone to find a good spot in the massive bed to go to sleep.
He pouted when he realized she was going to sleep so he turned around and touched her face.
She slapped at him. "Let me sleep!"
