The hospital looked like any other hospital the brothers had ever been to and inside was bright with soft, happy colors but it still felt like a haunted house.
They waited in the receiving room for them to bring Marcy. They heard the sound of wheels on linoleum and turned.
Marcy was in a wheelchair, looking like their worst nightmare; crazed, wild and doped up.
"She might not respond." The nurse told them. "She can hear you though."
"Thank you." Marc wanted him to just leave.
The nurse left.
The boys stared at their sister as she stared at her lap.
Marc snapped to first and came to kneel at his sister's feet. "Hey, Moppet."
She didn't react.
"How are you?"
She still didn't react.
His heart hurt and he got up to pace.
Mike tried next. "Do you do anything fun in here?"
Marcy didn't move.
"Are you doing okay?"
She lifted her head, scaring him witless by how lifeless her eyes were.
He got up to pace.
Mal squatted in front of her. "I'm so sorry, baby. I'm getting you out of here."
OF
"What do you mean I can't get her out of here?" Mal demanded.
Marcy's main doctor shook her head. "She's a danger to herself and others."
"She always was!"
"Mr. Chang, you called us."
"Because I didn't want her to kill herself!"
"We don't want that either. That's why we're keeping her."
"You can't just keep my woman!"
"Actually we can. You signed the forms."
"I didn't sign any form that said you could keep her!"
The doctor found the correct forms- with his signature.
He actually went through and read the terms. In plain black and white it said they could keep her if they felt she wasn't getting better or she presented a clear danger to herself or others. He was dumbstruck.
"She will be safe here." The doctor put away the paperwork. "Boris will show you out."

Mal paced his office.
Marc finally spoke up. "We can bust in and take her."
"Yup!" Mike cosigned.
Mal shook his head slowly.
"Why not?"
Mal still paced.
"You're not even listening to us."
Mal stopped and blew out a breath. "I'll give them a week."
"A week?" Marc lifted a brow. "A week for what?"
"They're supposed to be the best in the whole country. If they don't fix her in a week, it'll be hell to pay."
