"This is a bit much." I wrinkle my nose as a stare at my reflection in the full length mirror. I was at Kai's house getting ready for this stupid party Rosa is dragging me to. Originally we were at my dorm but after rummaging thr ough my closet and destroying my entire room in the procees. Kai announced there was nothing usable in my wardrobe and demanded I wear something of hers. The outfit she'd selected was a huge departure from my usual Boho vibe. Kai sucked her teeth, " I know what I'm doing." I feel naked though, I whine turning back to the mirror. I'm wearing a tight white wife beater that stops just above the diamond belly button ring I'd impulsively gotten when I turned eighteen. I frown, I usually don't put it on display, It makes me feel cheap now. I tug at the top of the beater trying to cover the leopard print push up bra courtesy of Victoria's Secret. Kai swats at my hands " Let the bra show a little bit, it's sexy like that " she smiles slyly." and look at you filling those jeans out. who knew you had such a cute little butt.",The dark wash denim jeans sat low on my hips, and fit closer than anything but skin should giving new meaning to the term skinny jeans. Red platform pumps completed my look. " Finished ! I have out done myself." Kai sat back to admire her work. She had painstakingly applied my makeup. She'd kept my face neutral with just a hint of blush to the apples of my cheekbones. she was heavy handed with the mascara and eyeliner making my eyes smokey and sultry. My lips were dewy and plump accentuated by nude tinted gloss, soft and shiny. My hair is my favorite part. I refused to allow her to flat iron it. We'd argued for nearly an hour. In the end I won and instead of straightening it, she'd applied products that transformed my tight coils into loose waves that hung thick and well down my back. I didn't realize it had gotten so long. As much as I hate to admit it . Kai's right, I don't recognize the sexy vixen in the mirror staring back at me. A slow smiles spread across my face. " Okay, do look pretty good."I say turning around for a rear view. "My ass looks huge in these." Kai's face wrinkles, " You say that like it's a bad thing. She pats me on the booty laughs. It sounded like 'beach' with her accent. " You look good mamacita those shoes are hot." Kai admired Rosa's ensemble. She grinned and held the strappy black heel up to give Kai a better look. " Shut up" Rosa exclaimed, staring at me. "You look so freakin good. We're about to kick it."
