Cat P.O.V

Well as both me and Vee took separate way to our own room which I knew we were almost close to it. I couldn't help but wonder what Raph had in mind. As we entered I started to wonder how we were going to get there. Not like Mister turtle in red was going to poof up a carpet and whisk me away there. It would be cool but I know that it wasn't going to be like that.

"So...how are we going to get there, mister hot shot?" I couldn't help but asking and give a silly nickname to it. To my surprised he ignored the nickname and turned to me once we were in my room.

"Same way we always travel." Raph said but then I gave him a blankly and bored look, hoping he would remember that his everyday things. They were definitely not everyday minutiae for either me nor Vee. Thankfully, he caught on when I was sure he saw me with the look I was giving. He only grinned.

"By magic, of course. Now, are you going to take my hand, or not?" He told me still grinning. I paused for a moment, staring at his outstretched, emerald palm, then nodded. This time, my fingers brushed against his skin. There was no lightning, no strange jolts. Just a tingling that made my heart race and a blush rise to my pine green cheeks.

"You might want to hold on." Raph told me as he flashed me the cheekiest of grins, and pulled me a bit closer. I grabbed onto the edge of his vest like he advised. And then suddenly the world wasn't there anymore.

We were hurtling through air, but at the same time not moving at all. Color and energy swirled around us, a myriad of time and places. I looked around in awe, taking in flashes of stars, splatters of landscapes. When we finally stopped, I couldn't help but gasped in amazement. It felt like I had traveled through space itself. But instead of an alien planet, or a space station, I was in a large chamber in a dilapidated middle eastern castle.

"Where are we?" I had to asked as I looked at Raph as he had a little smirk.

"A place that I assume no one has been in a very long time. A place I once called my home." Although he still tried to hold his smirk, his tone grew somber. He stepped away from me, his emerald green fingers trailing along the year-worn wall. I could tell this meant, this place meant to him by the way he was looking at it.

"There used to be a staff of hundreds here. You could feel the walls reverberate with their energy. It was exhilarating. It always made me feel alive." He said

I wasn't sure what to say; I had never seen Raphael contemplative in the time I'd known him along with Vee. Surprised me really.

"Tell me, have you ever heard of the legend of Scheherazade?" He asked as he looked at me from the corner of his eye. I thought a bit as I may have heard something like that. Now that I think about it. I believe grandfather told us the story about it, when we were little and many years before his passing. I had found it fascinating and it had became one of my favorite stories and he had showed them to me. Many people would have found it weird or boring but I wasn't so normal as any mutant girl at that time. So I knew a bit about it and remembered that legend thanks to grandfather.

"She's the story teller, right? The one that was going to be killed each morning?" I answered remembering how grandfather told me it. Raph impressed suddenly smiled brightly as he turned to me.

"Very good, yes!" He said before taking a deep breath, floating a bit off the ground, as if he was reclining on a couch. I had a feeling this was going to turn into a story by the way he was right now. Which I don't mind we have plenty of time and it seems important to him.

"The greatest queen Scheherazade was a beauty, but she was also renowned for her quick wit and her oratory gifts. She could weave stories like the most beautiful tapestries. She managed to survive a thousand nights and tame her husband's heart. She brought prosperity to the entire kingdom." He told me.
