unfinished affair
in the night of 1892,
the clamor of two hearts ring true.
sailing away in the river
of no return, farewell to land
their gloved satin hands, with rings adorn. One with hair spun in golden hue,
the orger pitch black, inked by night.
Both torn by vanity, gilded by thorns.
their passions— forbidden by uncertainty,
farewell's a sweet music of agony. In the crystal river,
their bodies tangled in the mist.
scars lay before— all at once,
ruthless seraphs, halo aglow—
outstretched, and saying:
Their love, 'twas truly an unholy matrimony.
