Characters do not belong to me, m'kay? I wish I owned Vocaloid.
Vocaloid~
Only three days before I had to leave the exchange program. That meant three days to spend all my money in Akihabara; I was a geek girl on a mission. I was all alone there, lugging forty bags of otaku goods I couldn't bear to lose, when I saw her.
"Hatsune! Hatsune Miku!" I screamed, running up to her. She seemed surprised. "That is the best Miku Hatsune cosplay I have ever seen!"
"Cosu...play?" She asked, tilting her head to the side. "What is cosuplay?" Her voice was spot-on, just as high pitched as Miku's is.
"What do you mean? You're dressed as Hatsune Miku, right? That's cosplay." She continued to give me a confused look.
"Dressed as... Oh! No, no! My name is Hatsune Miku-chan, and I am here looking for someone who can bring me home!" She struck a perfect Haruhi-pointed-finger-pose, and I giggled.
"Okay, Miku-chan. Where do you need to go?" I played along. This girl looked to be about fourteen or fifteen, and very cute. She's lucky I came along and not a lolicon. Oh wait... I am lolicon, but with a heart of gold. I thought.
"I need to go to America!" She said loudly.
"Hehe... Really, Miku-chan, where do you need to go? I have a rental car over--"
"I need to go to America!" She yelled again. "Master said to find someone willing to take me and give them this note!" She reached into her shirt and pulled out a folded piece of paper. I unfolded it and read:
Dear Miku-Chan's Temporary Owner,
I am overjoyed you are reading this, because if you are it means you found Miku. I hoped it wouldn't come to this, but if you are reading this it means Miku has ran off and gotten herself lost again. Please return her to our offices in Los Angeles. Miku is completely equipped to give you whatever you need to return her. And if possible, can you check for any other Vocaloids? They seem to run off at any given moment. This is all a very elaborate and delicate experiment. Thank you for your help,
-President of VocaComplex
Miku stood there with her arms folded. "Well? Are you going to help me?" She asked.
"Do I really have a choice?" I asked. I looked around for a hidden camera crew or some other hint. This all looks legit though...
I noticed there was a phone number on the other side of the paper.
"Give me a second, Miku-chan." I dialed the number.
"Ah! Hello!" A male voice answered in english, which was weird after living here for three months.
"Yes, I'm calling because I found this girl in the middle of Akihabara..." I said, leery.
"Is it Miku?"
"Well, yeah, but--"
"Splendid! Will you return her?"
"Well, I mean, I guess, but--"
"Ahaha! Great! Now, Miku has everything you'll need to take care of her. She has money I pinned to the back of her shirt, make sure you get that... What else? Oh, make sure you plug her headphones in when she sleeps... she's mostly human so she'll be okay to get through airport security too."
"What do you mean 'mostly human?'" I asked, weirded out.
"I'll explain everything when you get her here. Oh, and if possible... Could you search for the other Vocaloids? They seemed to have wandered off..." he chuckled.
"How many?"
"All of them?" He said, hopeful.
"What!? I have a flight to California in three days! There's no way I can find them all before then! Besides, what did you want me to do, look under every rock from here to Nagoya!?" I yelled.
"They all have tracking devices, but Miku wandered off before she got hers. There should be something that looks like a cell phone on the back of her tie. It'll show you the way to the others and let you talk to them. If you need any help, don't hesitate to call this number."
"Okay... One last thing though; Is this the real Hatsune Miku?"
His voice was lowered to little more than a whisper. "I already said I'd tell you everything when you got here."
He hung up the phone.
"Well, Miku-chan, how would you like to go with me tonight?"
"Are you taking me home?" She asked, stars in her eyes.
"Yep. Later though. First we go home, eat, then get some rest, then look for your siblings."
"Yay! Can we have leeks for dinner!?"
