Yina slept like a baby the entire night, her exhaustion had finally caught up to her. They bed did not help as it was quite comfortable for some sea side villages inn. She could only assume that Adar had decided to spent a good amount of her money on the room. Not like that was a big issue with how he could duplicate it.
The knock on her door was met with a pillow being thrown against the door the soft thud as it hit the door then floor. "Go away." She hissed, noticing that it was not quite dawn yet but a small bit of light was creeping in through her shuttered window.
"We need to get ready, Adar said we needed to be gone shortly after dawn." Tyn stated rapping on the door again for good measure.
Grumbling Yina sat in bed. "Coward sending Tyn to do the dirty work, sliding out of bed she glared once more at the door before focusing the look on the blue dress. With a defeated slump of her shoulders she slid the dress on hating how it felt. At least Adar did not force her to wear a stupid corset with the dress.
Shortly she pushed her way out of the door, a thud from the corner told her one simple thing, Tyn was over there. Turning to face him she saw the look on his face, one she had not really expected red coming to her cheeks. His mouth was open just a bit but the look in his eyes was of pure admiration. "Close that mouth before I zap you." Yina stated a ball of lightning appearing in her hand causing the blue dress to seem to glow.
Adar in the corner crunched down on a apple watching the exchange with a smile. "I see you do clean up. We should be going, I do not think we are in the proper state to fight more dragon bound today." Another loud crunch and he was moving out of the room before Yina could throw her ball of lightning at him.
Grumbling she grabbed her bag that had been packed the night before and tossed it towards Tyn. The shocked look on his face from this made up for the look he had given her early. "What are these for." He complained catching it with a grunt.
"Well muscle head out there wants me in this dress to put on the guise of a rich girl wanting to visit Alery. As such there is no way I would be caught dead carrying my own pack." His mouth opened just a bit to try and argue this fact but with a sigh he closed it and just shouldered it and his own. His swords were wrapped up and attached to each hip.
The two left at the same time, finding Adar near the entrance paying the innkeeper what seemed a bit more then he was owed. She shrugged to herself, probably for breaking the door or even the added hassle of the three of them. Either way it was basically free money he was using so what was the harm.
"You two go find us a boat, I will be along with the dragons shortly. Be sure to tell them that we will have two dragons, otherwise it could be a problem." Adar stated as he walked backwards trying to get a head start on getting to the dragon stables.
"Sure thing, hopefully we can find one in time." Yina stated back at him not really caring if he heard or not as the two headed off towards the docks. "I do not know if he told you, we need to be gone before midday or we will have worse to fight then the Raptors."
"He did, which is why I risked death waking you up." Tyn stated his hands in his pockets looking around a bit paranoid.
A few blocks later they were able to find a road that led to the docks and this opened them up to seeing the ocean. "Glad your wounds seem healed by the way." She stated using the time that he was distracted to show she cared.
Tyn almost did not hear her as he was gawking at the blue sea that was spreading out ahead of them. "O, yeah that healing solution did wonders, my muscles do not even hurt anymore." It was good to see the large smile the young man had, they had been through a lot since they had left, it was hard for her to remember he had not even seen the world.
By the time the two made it to the docks it the sun had reached the horizon causing the blue water to sparkle even more. A few of the ships already had dragons perched on the docks near them. A sailor walked by and Yina tapped him on the shoulder and then curtsied. "Sorry sir, but could you direct me to someone who I can purchase passage from."
A few curse words left his mouth as he was turning before he noticed her and stumbled back a bit. "I am sorry for my language miss, yes right this way." He scurried off head held low as they wove through the docks to a large building. "This is where the captains stay." Another quick bow and the man was gone.
"Wow, just a dress and you have people acting that way, impressive." Tyn added, hopping back with a smile as he barely dodged her elbow he had anticipated.
Shooting him a glare she pushed through the doors to fine that it was a tavern of sorts. It did not really smell as bad as most, with nicer furniture and a receptionist that did not seem to be a bartender. Figuring it was her best bet she walked up to the man and spoke before he could. "I am here to find passage for myself and two others, plus two dragons."
Her forward action caused the man behind the desk to be taken aback a bit but finally his shock passed and he opened up a book in front of him. "Well, we have three ships leaving here today, were do you need to go?" He asked eyeing her.
"Alary." Was all Yina stated as she crossed her arms and tapped her foot, the money in her coin purse clinking together. His eyes went to it for a moment and then he looked at the book again.
"Only two of them are heading to Alary. The Captains are over those two." The receptionist stated pointing to two people out of the six sitting in various places around the room. One of them was a short overweight man with a long mustache. The second one was a tall and muscular man his clothing a bit more common then the other man.
Turning to leave she stopped after a single step and pulled out a coin. Placing it on the desk she smiled at the receptionist. "Thank you for the help." His mouth dropped open clearly not expecting to get paid for the help.
"Miss, the tall one is more reputable, however the shorter man is greedy and coin can get you far with him." Sliding the coin from the counter he slipped it into his pocket making sure no one really saw what had just happened.
Smiling Yina gave a curt nod with her head in thanks and then walked over to the man who was a bit more reputable. "Hello, I am Grace. I am in need of passage to Alary."
The man looked down at her, "I do not take children, please leave me alone." Turning his back to her showing that the conversation was clearly over. Lightning rippled down her body as Tyn placed a hand on her back and pulled her away.
"We do not need to draw attention, let it go." Tyn whispered to her, guiding her towards the overweight man's table. Shaking off his hand she let him leader her towards the man.
Already agitated she came up to the table and put a hand on the table. "Hello there, I am need of passage to Alary. I hear you are going, I can pay well, even more if we leave within the hour." She lifted her hand and crossed her arms showing she was not playing around.
"O ho ho, we got a lively one here." The captain stated to the men around him who laughed a little bit. "How many?" He eyed the coin purse on her hip that was quite full, Yina knew this was going to be costly but honestly as long as they got out of here that was not a big deal.
Talking a calmly voice she began to talk. "Us two plus one more. We will also have two dragons with us." The last part made his eyebrow raise in curiosity, she figured though to him that would just mean more money for him.
Rubbing his mustache a few times he made her wait a bit. "That is fine, we can leave in two hours no faster, adding the two dragons mean we need to attach the proper dragon carrying rafts. It will take time." After that the two spoke about cost.
Yina and Tyn left, a bit deflated as she held up her coin purse and looked inside. Over three fourths of the money was gone, a far bit more then she anticipated. If Adar had been there they would probably have gotten a better deal but honestly they had a ship and that was really all that mattered.
