The sun shined through the curtains, coming to rest on a family gathered around a table playing a board game.
"I'll buy your property!" Lotta exclaimed to her daughter, Kate.
"Aw, come on!" Groaned the girl, hair in fluffy braids. "I needed that one to complete the set."
"Well, sorry, cuz' it just got bought!" Laughed Austin, making Kate frown.
"Kids, be nice to each other," Gerald chastised. "It's not legit to taunt your sister, Austin."
"Why don't we take a break," Lotta suggested. "We can turn on Lucretia's talk show. I heard she's hosting Audrey and Melvin tonight."
"Yes, yes. But first, kids, feed the bunnies." Gerald reminded. "It's their dinner time."
As the two ran off into the hallway, Gerald leaned on the counter and tipped his head to Lotta. "So. We're watching The Cretia Show with the kids?" He raised an eyebrow. "And with Audrey and Melvin as the guests? Are you sure this is appropriate?"
Lotta laughed incredulously. "Why wouldn't it be?"
"Well, you know those two are the 'it' couple. And they curse quite a bit in daily language."
Lotta shook her head. "Come on, you're exaggerating. It'll be fine. I promised Audrey I would watch tonight. she seemed really excited."
Gerald nodded. "Okay. Fine. But they say more than two bad words and we're turning it off."
"Deal."
