I made it to the top three! I seriously cannot believe it. Here is the last piece I'm submitting for the competition 😥 The prompt is to take your NOTP (the couple you don't think belong together) and make them get married. So I present to you... Annabeth and Luke! As much as I love both of their characters (Luke more towards the end of PJO...) I only ever think of them as a brother-sister relationship so I wanted to play around with them as a couple. Don't kill me. Percy's is still there, just not in the way you're hoping. Here it is:

"Breathe in more," Percy suggested, pulling the straps as hard as he could.

"I'm already breathing in as hard as I can!" she practically yelled. She felt her anger levels rising, her face started to heat up with the stress she was feeling. Today was her wedding day, and so far nothing had been going as planned.

It wasn't Percy's fault. As her best friend, he had been very accepting of her marriage with Luke and had helped her plan the whole thing. At one point, Percy had even liked Annabeth. But Annabeth had shut him down, told him she loved him as a brother and couldn't imagine dating him. Luke was the guy for her. Today was supposed to be the best day of her life, and she was currently squeezing into the smallest dress ever made.

The Aphrodite cabin hadn't measured her correctly.

She huffed in frustration, apparently giving Percy the room he needed to clip the top of the dress. Thank the gods she had finally got it on her. "Okay, you are not taking this off for the rest of the day, or at least until the end of the night," he winked.

She blushed, embarrassed to be talking about this with her friend. Her anger had steadied now, she was more nervous if anything. Today was the day she finally going to marry the love of her life.

Luke Castellan.

From the moment she met him, aged only seven, she had liked him. He had helped her get through a very rough time when she ran away from her parents. He had been like a big brother to her when they lived together in the woods.

But once they had arrived at the camp, her feelings for the handsome blond-headed boy had developed into something more. They had admitted their feelings years later, and dated for a few years before he proposed.

She still remembers the proposal like it was yesterday. Well, to be fair, it was only a few months ago.

Luke took her hand, guiding her through the tall trees of Camp-Half Blood's woods. He had planned a date for them, their usual Saturday night movie canceled for it.

The spring flowers bloomed around them, bursts of colours scattered around the tree trunks. Luke seemed to know the way he was headed, to a secluded part of the woods she had never ventured into. Annabeth wondered if they were still inside the borders of the camp since she knew her way around most parts of the forest.

After a few more minutes, they arrived at their destination.

Luke had set up a picnic blanket by the side of a small river, the water softly flowing across rocks in the cool night. "I thought we could have a midnight picnic," he said, leading her to the blanket. The moonlight shone brightly enough for them to see, but he had still hung fairy-lights around the tree branches.

The picnic blanket was set on the soft spring grass and had a straw basket rested on top of it. She smiled, loving the idea of a picnic at night when they couldn't be disturbed by younger campers playing in the trees.

For the next hour, as the moon crossed over the star-plastered sky, they ate food and talked together. Their laughs echoed through the night.
