I'm writing in BOLD and Pebble-mom in itallic.
I like to think about Cole x Zane (or Glacier, but that's just cold *badum-tss*) pairing as the one that's not based on sexual tension, but more on mutual respect and reliance on each other. Their romance is a slow-burn kind of one, with them starting as friends and gradually becoming closer, finally realising their feelings for each other when they reunite in Chen's prison after Zane's sacrifice in fight with the Overlord.
I feel like they complement each other perfectly – Zane can keep a cool head in situations out of control and Cole helps him to remember what it really means to be human. They also both like cooking, but usually whatever Cole ends up preparing must be saved by Zane to even be eligible (don't tell him, he does his best). On the other hand, Cole is the one secretly teaching his boyfriend how to dance, as Zane has problems with improvising movement and letting go at times.
Generally, most of their relationship happens behind their bedroom doors. They are both extremely socially awkward and all they do in public is holding hands, like, at best. But they trust each other and know about each other's weaknesses that are kept secret from the rest of their friends. Zane is the only one that knows that Cole is far-sighted and needs glasses to read and Cole is there for Zane when he can't sleep and is insecure about his future as an artificial person.
As for +18 stuff, well, there isn't any. Zane's physically not capable of anything and Cole's pretty chill with whatever Zane wants. But, hey, they do snuggle a lot c;
