The night is long, and it feels like they have been walking for a full period, but thankful that it is at least all downhill. The temperature slowly starts to rise the lower they go down the path that winds its way around bare almost chiseled rock outcroppings. It eventually leads to large trees and bushes that soon become a dense jungle that if it were not for the convenient path, they are following they would never be able to get through it.

Adam has been getting increasingly uneasy about the way they are being hemmed in by the trail, and is constantly looking both ways up and down the trail, because if a group of the beasts were to come this way, there would be nowhere for them to hide, and their time here on wherever they are could be cut very short.

Then, just as he has feared, they come to a corner and they can suddenly hear a high pitched, almost squealing noise coming from up ahead. He looks around desperate for a place to hide, and there just to the side, right at the corner, there just happens to be an opening in the brush the perfect size for them to duck into. They are no sooner into it than a low vehicle that hovers over the ground moves down the path with a group of four lizard people sitting in it, three sitting side by side in a wide seat at the back as the one in front turns a small wheel to steer the hovering platform along the path.

The sleek vehicle glides along, barely moving the debris of the dense foliage on the ground beneath it. The three scaly creatures in the back are talking in a high-pitched squeal that reminds him of a group of primates baring their teeth and screaming at each other. The driver is concentrating on making the corner, so he does not notice the small opening where they have taken refuge.

Adam waits a few extra moments before emerging from their fortuitous hiding place, listening carefully for any more noise down the path. As they wait, Evian, who is kneeling in front of him as he holds her close, pushes back against him, giving him the impression of the fear, she is feeling at the situation they find themselves in. However, the pushing of her backside into his lower abdomen as she wiggles herself against him, changes his mind about her intentions.

Adam stands, lifting her at the same time, so they can exit their hiding place. "So, you find all this exciting, do you?"

She moves against him again when they reach the path, and proceeds to slide her hand down his firm chest through the heavy flight suit he is wearing. "I don't know what it is about this place, but the farther we get into all this dense growth and the sweet smell of the flowers and trees that seem to be so alive, I can't help but think of you, and the times we had in my quarters back at the Palace."

He nods his head, as he continues to look in either direction up or down the path, hoping that the craft was the only one that will be coming along for awhile. "Yes, I have also been reminded of that, but I don't think here in the center of the path would be a good place to express those feelings."

Evian reaches up to the tab of the zipper on his jacket. "That is true, but I do think it is getting way too warm for all these clothes, don't you agree?" as she smiles sweetly up at him.

"Ok, I will agree with you there. I have been starting to sweat under the heat of the period now." They step back into their impromptu hiding place and remove the extra clothing, so they are not caught unexpectedly with their pants down around their ankles. They soon have the clothes back on that they were wearing in the Council Chambers back on Ver just the period before. Adam reties their cloth bag and they proceed back down the trail again. Evian flexes her body now that she has shed the extra clothing, and the small patches that just cover her in strategic places makes him take notice of her natural beauty. She turns around and looks him over with an appraising look that seems more predatory to him than suggestive, although it is also definitely that.
