I felt the need to update, so....yeah. Sorry it's so late

They insisted on keeping Rose for the rest of the weekend. Thank goodness. It didn't help me sleep an easier, though, because I kept thinking about her, and because mom and dad had a little "talk" with me.

"Rachel, the police are going to release her into the Titan's custody tomorrow." Dad said patiently and carefully on Sunday night.

"Whatever," I muttered.

"Nightwing doesn't want her to be at the tower without all of you,  so she will have to stay here," Mom said.

"Is that really a smart idea?" I blurted out, but a glare from mom silenced me again.

"Rachel, Rose is your sister. Born at Jump City hospital on May 5th, 6 pounds even, 21 inches. Blue eyes and snow white hair. a pinkie toe no bigger than a pea." Dad said, and I swear there was a tear in his eye.

Mom squeezed his hand, "We'd like you to spend Monday with her."

"WHAT!?!?!?" I screamed, certain I awakened every baby in town.

"Nightwing says that the police have been investigating Wilson inc, but Slade is gone. He may go after her again, we want you to stay with her and keep an eye out for any signs of trouble."

"Can't Mar'i do that? Or what about Michael? Or even Leo!" I threw my hands up in the air, exasperated out of my wits.

"Any of then could, and rest assured the twins will get their time to bond with their new sister, we all will, but as you are Rose's twin sister, it will be your responsibility to watch out for her." Dad reasoned with me.

"So I'm her Nanny, great," I sighed, heading for the stairs, "I'll do it, but just so you know, I won't enjoy it!" I yelled over my shoulder.

Dad woke me up early on Monday morning. figures. We drove to pick Rose up from the police station, and Rose sat next to me awkwardly as dad filled out a few papers.

"Where are we going?" Rose asked once we were back in the car.

"Home." Dad said, twisting the wedding ring on his finger (that doubled as a holographic generator) so that he turned from the green superhero, Changling, into Garfield Logan.

Other than Rose's question, it was quiet for the rest of the ride. Mom opened the door for us the moment we arrived. Barely waiting for Rose to enter before grabbing her in a mother's embrace.

"I've missed you so much," She whispered into my "twin's" hair.

I looked away. It's hard to admit that I was jealous. Who wouldn't be? I'd gotten so used to being the only girl of the house, the only "daddy's girl," the oldest of the pack, and now I had to get used to another one of me. Who wouldn't be jealous? Not to mention that this newbie could murder us all in our sleep.

There was a loud CLANG, the sound of something breaking, and the smell of burnt tofu coming from the kitchen.

We ran into the kitchen, finding it in a complete mess. Leo and Michael had attempted to make breakfast for the family so that mom didn't have to.

"You guys didn't burn the tofu, did you?" Dad asked nervously.

"Sorry," Michael squeaked.

Dad pretended to faint against the wall while mom just giggled, "Oh stoppit, Gar! You're no better at cooking than the boys are!" She scolded.

"I can cook." Rose said quietly.

All of us looked at her.

"You don't have to do that, sweetie," mom assured her. I froze. Mom never called anyone sweetie. It was just too weird.

Rose nodded, "That's okay, but I want to."

Don't let her cook, mom! She might poison us all! I thought.

But that particular possibility didn't seem to have crossed mom's mind, because she simply smiled and nodded, "Alright. Do you think you can find everything alright?" She asked.

Rose nodded as well, and began to scrape all the tofu Michael and Leo had burnt off the stove.

"Mom, don't we have to go to school?" I asked, searching in the pantry for a simple granola bar.

Leo gave me a weird look, I for certain was the kind of person who looked for an opportunity to skip school all the time, but I was determined to live to see sixteen. I wanted my driver's license so bad, and if I died from food poisoning from my evil twin sister, then I for certain would never see the age of sixteen.

"You guys aren't going to school today," Dad said, handing me a credit card. My eyes widened at the sight of the shiny blue Visa card.

"After breakfast, you and Rose are going to the mall." Mom told me, handing Leo and Michael silverware and plates to set the table.

"The...mall?" Rose asked slowly.

"Have you ever been to a mall before?" Mom asked.

"No...my dad usually had the servants do my shopping for me," Rose explained as she stirred dough into a bowl.

Instantly Leo and Michael were upon her, "You had servants!???" They both asked at once.

I sighed and sat down in my usual spot at the table. This was going to be a loooooong day.
