"Oh my gosh! You brought the cookies!"
Moonbyul's eyes lit up as she saw me walk in with the cookies.
"Well hello to you too." I chuckled.
I sat down at the edge of the bed and set the cookies down for her.
"Sorry I've just been really looking forward to these cookies. And you, of course. How did it go?"
I sighed and grabbed a cookie.
"It went as expected. What matters is we'll all be happy and be able to live our lives."
Moonbyul nodded as she swallowed her cookie.
"They're still your family so I'm sure it wasn't easy."
She was right. I tried to not think about it, but they're all I've known my whole life. This is what has to happen though.
"Say, why don't I go change and we ditch this place?" Moonbyul slowly pulled the blanket over her before I placed my hand on it, stopping her.
"We're not leaving to go to anywhere."
She pouted and I couldn't help but laugh.
"But it's so boring here! I have things to do, places to be! It's so lonely here!" She exclaimed.
"Moonbyul, I'm staying with you. Did you forget?"
"Oh."
"I figured."
I got up and dusted the cookie crumbs off Metz
"I'm gonna go get us so milk and snacks. I'll be back okay?"
"I guess. Please hurry."
"I will, Moonie."
