"Oh my giblets."

I did a double take at Moonbyul who smiled.

"Hehe. Hey."

She had a cast on her left arm, bandages all around her hand, crutches in the back of the car, bruised all over, and look like she belonged in a hospital.

I jumped into the car and inspected her all over.
"What happened? Why are you hurt? Are you okay? Why aren't you at a hospital? You should probably be in bed right? Why are you driving? Why-"

She placed a finger over my lips. "Please calm down. I'll answer your questions eventually. Please buckle up and just wait."

I was shocked and just was silent. She turned the radio on and just karaoked to the songs.
I just went along until she shut off the radio at a red light. She turned to me.

"So. Did you miss me?"

I scoffed and looked out my window. "You didn't call, text, email, send a letter, and didn't even inform me you were going off the grid."

She chuckled and ruffled my hair. "Aww please don't be mad Sunnie. I'm sorry I made you worry It sounds like you missed me a lot though."

"As if. I didn't even notice until Hwasa texted me to see where you were."

"Oh really? Why did Hwasa tell me the opposite?"

I flipped my head around. "You texted her first but not me? That's illegal."

"You're still something else Solar. Is my little Sunnie sad I didn't text her first?"

"You bet I am." I said.

"Well now that's just unacceptable. Bad Moonbyul! How will I ever make it up to you?"
She tsked and shook her finger.

"It'd have to be something amazing."

"Most definitely."

For the next couple minutes Moonbyul didn't stop telling me cheesy jokes that despite the cringe, made me laugh.

"I need you to close your eyes please."

I tilted my head. "Why?"

"You trust me right?"

I nodded.

"Then please close your eyes."

"Fine." I closed my eyes and covered them with my hands for good measure.

Soon later the car stopped and Moonbyul helped me get out. She guided me inside a building I guessed that had really nice air conditioning. It didn't look good a crippled, injured woman was guiding a fully healthy, un-injured girl but hey. That's how it's going right now.

We walked around a little more until she stopped.

"You can open your eyes now Sunnie."

I uncovered my eyes and was about to cry.

"Byul, you didn't."

"I did."
