FAMILY DESTINY
6:30 pm on the clock. Creamy pumpkin soup, curry chicken, rice and peas and parboiled Pop Choy sumptuously decorated the dinner table. The strong sweet aroma of authentic Jamaican spices widely opens the appetite and powerful enough to quickly tame the great beast called hunger. Jack, Veronica and the four kids sat around the table and dug their teeth into the delicious meal. Abruptly, Veronica sprang out of the chair and rushed to the bathroom leaving her iPhone on the table. She searched hastily for something around the back of the medicine cabinet. Unexpectedly the phone made a loud beep. Jack took a glance realizing that it was a text message from a man named Jonathan. Instantaneously, his curiosity aroused and his suspicious feelings flicked on like a switch. Unable to control his bad temper, he opened the message and began reading nonstop.
"Sweetheart I hope you remember to take those birth control pills. I can't believe, until now, that lunatic hasn't figured out that Ryan isn't his seed after so many years. Ha-ha anyway I wish I could feel your irresistible soft lips pressing against mine and your smooth skin gliding up and down against my solid chest. I feel like the strongest man in the world when you're under my arms. In and out of my ignorance I just can't betray the sweet pleasure you inflicted upon my soul and body. You have a weapon powerful enough to seduce and keep this bad boy satisfied. Honestly, I'm burning up to hold you tight again sexy," sender, Jonathan.
Jack's heart sprinted faster than a race horse, and he had a frown on his face, looking much like a wrinkled old man. He gripped and squeezed the phone tighter than a clamp until the screen was cracked, but he remained silent like a deadly predator preparing to strike and devour its prey. Veronica slithered a pack of birth control pill from the back of the cabinet and swallowed two with water from the pipe. She rushed back out of the bathroom just remembering that she had left the phone on the table. As soon as she approached the table, she could have easily felt that something had gone wrong. Her heart trembled slightly with her facing looking suspicious about something. Suddenly, she spotted the phone in Jack's hand.
"Gimme my phone now," she demanded grabbing the phone out of his hand. "What the hell were you doing with it? I need my privacy. Oh shit, this damn fool cracked the screen!"
"Watch your month woman, and explain the meaning of that text message right now, now!" He demanded.
She refused to respond.
"Don't let me have to ask again," he warned.
"Please this is not how it seems, I can explain. When you're at work, most of the times I feel very lonely to the extent I thought I was going crazy. So Jonathan, the friend I was telling you about decided to keep my company one afternoon. I fell asleep in his lap. He then began rubbing down my legs and seduced me to have sex with him. I don't love a bone in him. He is vicious and colder than a snake, and he threatened to kill me several times. Gosh I'm so stupid to sleep with him, why didn't I think before I act? Sweetheart I was tricked and tempted, forgive me, forgive me," she pleaded and cried.
"Psssh, you are one crazy bitch. You don't love a bone in him but you love when he is dashing it hard on you. Don't tell me f**k about tempted or tricked because you gave it to him," he shouted. "You think I'm stupid! What about the part where he says, Ryan isn't my seed?"
