Turning Point, Seven Secrets And FiveArts
The evening was foggy as fire smoke and cold as a witches kiss with heavy showers of rain, on and off. Leaves fell from the trees and danced through the gusty wind. The high school was just a few miles away from where we lived. SunShine walked horridly in the rain drizzle with a woody-sweater over her head to shield from the cold wind. One hand was tucked inside the side pocket to keep warm while the other hand was used to hold a knapsack of books around her shoulder. Without warning the rain began pouring down heavily. She ran but there was no place to go for shelter, out of the blues a blue Mitsubishi rolled up at her feet. The window rolled down slowly. Inside was a man who seemed like a lady's gentleman.
"Could I give you a ride please?" he asked politely.
"No thank you, I'm okay," SunShine replied running through the rain.
"Lady by the time you reach your destination you'll be soaked as hell from head to toe, come on, let me give you a ride," the man urged.
"Don't you understand English? I said I'm okay," she reiterated.
"Okay mam, fine, all I wanted to do is simple help, any ways take care," he said driving off.
The rain began pouring down harder and harder, and she had nowhere to shelter. She started to soak wet.
"Hey, wait, wait, wait," she ran and yelled.
The car stopped and she ran inside. They were both silent about half of the way until finally the man introduced himself.
"My name is George Armstrong but most people call me King," he said huskily in an attractive way.
"That's nice. I'm SunShine," she told him.
"Oh beautiful name, you look as sweet as a sunflower," he said charmingly.
"Oh really," she replied as if she didn't care what King had said.
The car bumped into a pot hole and shook a picture out of position.
"Don't let that picture fall off, hold it for me please," King pleaded.
SunShine took a quick look at the picture, "these are your wife and kids?" she asked.
"Yeah but they're no longer with me," he said gravelly.
"What happened?" she asked.
"Car accident," he gruffly replied.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry," she said to him.
"I still grieve until this very day but the universe has a funny way of twisting and turning things in a newly direction that best fits your destiny. So where are you headed?" he asked.
