"Hermione! I like him! I like Fred!"

"About time you figured that out," Hermione said lazily.

"Wait - what? You knew - know? I'm so confused. I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW HOW DID-" Asked Yn. Hermione only laughed and gave Yn a side hug.

Oh my god. What if Fred knows. What if George Knows. Yeesh, if either of them knew that would be TERRIBLE.

"Is it obvious that I like him? Be honest."

Hermione sighed "yeah, its pretty obvious - well to everyone around you. It took you this long just to figure out you liked him and you know how boys are when it comes to this type of thing. They either automatically assume you like them, or don't even let the thought come to their head. Its probably going to take a bit before he realizes it too. But give it time and I'm sure he'll catch on."

Hermione started walking ahead like it was nothing. Is it nothing? Oh my god does any of our friend group know??

"Okay, so what you're saying is that everyone knows that - that I like Fred? How can you say that so casually? I'm over here freaking out! Everyone includes George, Danny, and Lee. My whole friend group KNOWS that -" I bent over and put my hands on my knees and tried to catch my breath. "Mione, this is crazy! What am I supposed to do? What if he knows I like him?"

Hermione rolled her eyes and sighed softly, "Yn, I promise that out of everyone Fred doesn't know that you like him. He's completely clueless, especially when it comes to these types of things."

Hermione is right, the only thing Fred has a clue about is pranks, jokes, and the occasional work ethic.

"Now come on we better get back to the common room," Hermione said smiling at me.

Third-person pov

The Yule ball was approaching and Yn hadn't gotten a date. Many of the Drumstrang boys asked, and a few of the Beauxbatons boys had asked but she declined all of them. She would always make up a lame excuse but her friends knew what was going on (except Fred who just assumed she didn't want a date).

She was waiting for Fred to ask her. Or for herself to gather enough courage to ask him herself.

Fred, Yn, George, Danny, and Lee were all sitting in the Gryffindor common room three days before the Yule ball late at night talking about whatever came to mind when the topic of dating came into hand.

"Yeah, I mean girls are cool and all but it's just so much work. You now? You have to be nice to them all the time, be there for them every minute of every day. I don't see myself being in a relationship, to be honest." Lee said looking at the twins and Danny.

Fred thought about his words and disagreed with Lee a tremendous amount. He thought all of that sounded nice, especially considering that the other person would do the same to him.

"Lee, I respect your opinion, but I disagree with you. All that sounds good. Having someone to lean on. Someone you can go to with good or bad news. I don't know. It just - er - I dunno, what do you think?" Fred asked no one in particular.

Yn looked up and felt her blood rush to her cheeks. She smiled shyly and started talking mindlessly about being in love and having a significant other.

"Like, imagine having someone to cuddle. Someone who you could read to. Like - personally I think that sounds absolutely amazing. Going on dates, running around Hogwarts at midnight fucking around." Danny lightly laughed at the (hair color) girl.
