(1 Month Later)
Today was a normal day take Shawn to school. Go to work. Pick him up. Go home. But when you got home Shawn asked you something that took you by surprise. 'Mom/dad?' "Yes Shawn?" 'Why don't you ask Ms. Lovato to be your girlfriend?' You laughed. "Why would I do that?" 'Cause she likes you.' "She does?" 'Well she asks about you all the time....and she's asked me if you have a boyfriend/girlfriend.' You crossed your arms. "And what did you say?" Shawn didn't respond. "Shawn...." 'I said that Ms. Lovato could be....' you shook your head. "Shawn Shawn Shawn.....What am I going to do with you...." 'I'm just trying to help.' "I know buddy...I know....okay go do your homework." He went upstairs to his room. You grabbed your phone. 'Am I really about to do this?....' You thought. You called Ms. Lovato....I mean Demi. 'Hi y/n!' "Oh Hey Demi...." 'how are you?! How's little Shawn doing?!' "He's good. He's doing his homework right now...." 'so what's up?' "I just want to apologize about Shawn....he told me about what he's been saying to you at school." 'Oh its fine! I was just trying to get to know you better.' "Really well then let's do that." There was a pause. You smacked your hand against your forehead. 'Stupid!' You thought. Demi cleared her throat. 'Really?' "Um yeah....unless that's not what you meant...." 'no I was! I'd love to!' "Great. How does tomorrow night sound?" 'Awesome! See you then!' You hung up. 'OoOoOoOohhhhh.' "Shawn! Homework!" He giggled and ran upstairs. 'Ugh....that kid....' You laughed.
(The next evening)
You headed over to Demi's house. You were nervous. You had butterflies. You haven't felt this way since..... You got to Demi's you texted her you were there. She walked out. Wow. She looked....so vibrant. She was wearing a short white sundress with a leather belt. She got in your car. 'Hey!' "Hey." 'Where to?' "You'll just have to wait and see...." 'ooohh a surprise!' You drove her for a while and Demi realized. She gasped. 'The Griffith observatory! I've always wanted to come here?!' "Well....let's go!" You guys walked towards the entrance. 'I think their closed.' You knocked on the door. A security guard come over and opened the door. 'Y/n? Nice to see you!' "Good to see you too Larry. Can we have the hand tour?" He looked back at Demi and smiled. 'Of course. Come on in.' He let you guys in and you showed Demi around. 'Soooo are we just not gonna talk about that?' "About what?" 'How we just walked in here like nothing?!' "My dad used to work here.....when I was little he would bring me with him to work cause my mom was too busy with her 2 jobs....so I would just walk around with Larry and look through the telescopes." 'That's cute.' You smiled. Demi touched your hand. You looked at her and grabbed her hand. "Come on I want to show you something." You led her to the big telescope. "Hold on.....Okay. Look." 'Wow!.....what am I looking at?' You laughed. "That's your star." 'What do you mean?' You walked over to the ledge and pulled out a frame. Inside the frame was the constellation that includes the star you bought for Demi. "I bought you a star...." Demi hugged the frame. 'No ones ever done anything like this for me! Best date ever!' You smiled. You showed her the rest of the observatory. And it was late. You decided to take her home. You guys got back in the car. 'Wow....that was awesome!....I'll top you next time!' "Next time?" 'Uh yeah! That was easily the best date I've ever been on!' "Stooooop it was cheesy." She put her hand on yours. 'I like cheesy.' You smirked. "Me too." You drove her home. You walked her up to her door. 'Thank you again for an amazing night....' "thank you for letting me take you." 'See you......next week?' "Perfect." 'Alright.....' you grabbed Demi's hand. She pulled back. 'Shit! Sorry. Sweaty palms....' You laughed. You grabbed her hand and leaned in. Demi met you halfway and your lips touched. You pulled back. 'See you later nerd!' You laughed and Demi walked inside.....
