Serenity Sage

The Bahamas is truly beautiful. I feel like I had no type of worries being out here. I even felt safe from my ex. I honestly wish I could live here because it is so peaceful. Mr. Smith has us staying in a nice hotel. While he was checking us in, I was taking in the scenery of the hotel. I guess I was wrapped up in the scenery a little too much because before I knew it, Mr. Smith was staring at me with an amused look on his face.

"Ms. Johnson I've been calling your name for a good two or three minutes now." He stated.

I chuckle a little bit, "My bad. It's just so beautiful."

"It truly is. I love coming out here." He hands me my key and we walk over to the elevator.

It's a comfortable silence as we ride up the elevator and before I knew it, we were already on the floor that we were going to be staying on. I step off the elevator and instantly I get confused.

"Why is there only one room on this floor?" I asked as I looked at him.

A smirk crept on his face, "Because this is the penthouse suite and we're going to be staying here together."

This nigga has lost his mind. He better hope they have two beds in this room.

Kareem Alexander

The look on her face was priceless. I almost laughed in her face, but I held my composure. I'm not gonna lie, I got this room because I knew it would annoy her and I want to be around her, but I'm not gonna let her know that.

"Come on, let's go in so we can get our day started." I told her as I went to unlock the door

She hesitantly walked in behind me as I unlocked the room. I heard her sigh in relief when she saw that there were two beds in the suite.

"I call the bed closet to the window," she quickly spoke up as she ran and jumped on the bed.

I chuckled a little bit, "That's fine with me. I prefer the one away from the window anyway."

"Where do you want to eat? My treat." I asked her as we walked out the hotel lobby.

She stared at me like I was speaking a foreign language, "What was that?" she asked with an amused look on her face.

I smack my lips, "You got jokes. What do you wanna eat? It's been a long day."

She looks around before settling on Twisted Lime Sports Bar and Grill.

"This business trip doesn't seem so business like." Ms. Johnson states casually as she sips on her margarita.

"The business part starts tomorrow. Today is more of a chill day." I responded back, taking a swig out of my beer.

"Interesting" she simply states.

I want to try to get to know her because she intrigues me. "If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?" I ask.

"Hmm, I would honestly want to live somewhere like here or Hawaii."

"Why?" I ask her.

She shrugs her shoulders, "I've lived in Texas my whole life and I'm actually over it. Who's your favorite superhero?"

"That's easy." I respond, "Batman."

She chuckles a little bit, "Why Batman?"

"I mean why not? He doesn't even need superpowers to fight crime like these other niggas and its lit." I respond with a little too much excitement in my voice.

"Touché", she responds.

Omniscient

They continue to converse with each other until the food comes and after the food comes, they continue to ask more questions about each other.

"So, is what you're doing now what you always wanted to do?" Serenity asks.

Kareem thinks about the question before answering, "Honestly yes and no. I love the traveling, but it is hard being in charge all of the time."

"You make it look so easy," Serenity responds with a little amusement in her voice.

He chuckles, "See you were doing good until you stated being smart ass." He jokes.

She shrugs her shoulders, "Don't hate the playa, hate the game." She laughs.

The night continues like this and it is the first time they have been able to be around each other without getting annoyed.
