Chapter Ten

Neo POV

It's been almost a week since Astrid died I haven't done anything, eaten or slept at all since then. All I have done is sit by her side hoping that she might show me those beautiful eyes of hers. Klaus gave her some of his blood hoping it would save her but she hasn't moved not once. I walk into my room to see her laying on my bed so lifeless. I sit beside the bed as tears fall down my face.

"I'm so sorry this happened to you mamas, I love you so damn much." I say for the hundredth time as I feel something move

I look up to feel a hand on my check. I look up to see Astrid's pale face smiling at me. I look at her with a shocked expression.

"Mamas OMG is this real. KLAUS!!! CAROLINE!!! GET IN HERE!!!" I yell hugging astrid

They both come in the room asking what happened. Before I could say anything both of them ran past me to their daughter.

"OMG how is this possible you died right in front of our eyes?" Her father said

"It's a long story, but dad I need some of your blood first." She says

Her father gives her a confused look before he grabs the glass on the nightstand. He bites into his skin enough to make it bleed quickly. After a few minutes he stops bleeding and hands the cup to Astrid. She gulps it down before wiping her mouth clean.

"Ok now how in the bloody hell are you alive?" I ask wanting to know

"After we brought you back to the room I went and got a stash of dad's blood that we keep around for emergencies. I had a feeling mateo was gonna come after me to get to dad so I made an alternative plan, I would sacrifice myself to save my family. I knew I would come back a hybrid so I wasn't concerned about dying." She said

"And you didn't think to at least tell us!!!!" Her mother yells

" I couldn't have anyone trying to stop me.. I'm sorry I didn't tell you guys." She says in a hushed tone

"All that matters now is that you are safe and sound." Her dad said

We both make eye contact, she smiles at me with that smile that I have been waiting to see since that bastard took her away from me.

"Mom, dad can you leave me and neo alone for a minute please?" Her parents nod kissing her forehead then leaving the room

"Baby come here." She says

I jump up walking to the bed, laying right beside her, I cuddle into her side like a three year old kid.

"Please don't ever do that again mamas, I thought I lost you for good." I say tears threatening to fall

" Baby don't worry this is the last time I will ever do something like this again." She says hugging me tightly

Before I knew it we had fell asleep cuddling into each other's arms where we were meant to be.
