'wa-!' you were cut off. steven looked at you "well?" you looked down and shook your head. steven sighed and placed his hand on his chin, "i need to find her." you stood up.

"y/n, let the crystal gems handle this. if they still couldn't find spinel then we'll go on our own." you shook your head "you know that they'll take a long time, it's better to go now." you walked towards the sleeping lion.

you kneeled down and stroke lion's mane, "buddy? can we go another search round?" you softly said to the majestic pink lion, lion lifted his head and yawned, he stretched and shook himself to fix his soft mane.

"lion no, don't take y/n." steven ordered his companion. lion just huffed, steven gasped dramatically "don't speak like that young man!"

you got on lion's back and rode off with steven's voice calling you back fading.

hours and hours of searching; nothing. lion even made some wraps to search some islands you don't know, still nothing. you stopped lion and got off his back, you walked to a tree and sighed as you sat down.

lion walked over to you and laid by your feet then slept, you looked up to the sky seeing the various shapes and sizes of the clouds. the winds is still cool despite the sun being high, you looked to your side to see a bunch of fallen dead leaves.

you grabbed a fistful of it and crushes it, the satisfying crunches are heard and the remaining small pieces fell to the ground as you slowly open your hand.

"didn't expect to see you here." you jumped at the new voice, you looked behind the tree to see garnet. you smile "me neither.", garnet came out of the tree "may i?" you nodded and she sat down beside you.

"you were looking for her, weren't you?" you nodded "but everywhere i looked, i couldn't find her. even lion couldn't track her scent."

"because lion doesn't really know spinel."

"i miss her. . ." you clenched your clothed mark, "i know what she did to this planet but that doesn't have to hold her back!" you rant and ranted, garnet is there to hear everything. as well from the one in a particular island.

as you finally finished, you slumped into the tree that you're almost lying down. "you're right, the past doesn't have to hold her back and you don't have focus on that soulmate thing, focus on the special relationship you two both have. nobody can understand you and spinel better than the both of you." garnet said with a smile on her face.

"that's why i talked to her." your eyes widen, "are you serious?" you mumbled. garnet nodded and stood up.

"come on, she's waiting."
