you instantly removed your hand from your mark.
spinel's eyes widen, she didn't remove her hand from her gem.

'h-hello?' you heard spinel's voice echo to your head. you sat on the toilet and touched your mark, 'you figured it out?'

'figure what out?'

you pursed your lips.

'that we have a connection.' 

'this is pretty cool!!' spinel yelled but you also hear her from the living room. you giggled but soon fell as she still doesn't understand how this soulmate thing works.

'say y/n, why were you red earlier? are you sick?' spinel's tone turned into worry, you shook your head 'no, i'm fine spins.'

you stood up from the toilet, got out of the bathroom and walked to the living room to see spinel on the floor with her hand on her gem.

spinel noticed you and she practically jumped onto you, you had to balance yourself before you two fell to the ground. "i didn't know we could do that!!" spinel said still ecstatic from the telepathy thing.

"but how can we even do that?" spinel pulled away from the hug and looked down at her gem, you reached for her gem and carefully caressed it.

"well, to put it in simple words." you ran your fingers down the edges of her perfectly cut gem. spinel couldn't help but tremble at the sensation she's feeling.

"we're soulmates."

you pulled your hand away, you reached for the helm of your shirt and lifted it for spinel to see your own mark.

spinel's eyes looked at the seemed-tattooed-mark, then she looked at you who's looking to the side having a blush again. embarrassed.

"we're. . . meant to be?" you pulled down your shirt, you nodded. "that's why your gem and my mark is glowing everytime we're together because we're meant to be. we're soulmates."

"this can't be right." spinel backed up, "why are you fated to someone like me?" you held your arms and walked towards spinel to calm her down.

"spinel, you're the one i chose to be with. the killing-the-whole-world thing? we fixed it!" you tried to hug her but spinel slapped your hands away.

"you can't love someone like me." then spinel ran out of the house. you tried to run after her but can you really match up to a gem's speed?

"goddamn it spins." you huffed, you looked st the horizon to see the sun falling. you decided to head to steven's house to ask for a search party.

you reached steven's house, you knocked on it several times enough to make all the crystal gems come at the door as if a murderer is after you.

"spinel is missing and i need your help!" that's basically all you need to say and the crystal gems are on it. steven asked you on the way why the gem ran away.

you told him everything and seemed to understand the situation. steven called lion, the majestic pink lion ran out of the portal and went to his owner's side.

"y/n get on lion, this is gonna be a long night."
