For the first time in weeks The8 showed up for work. Ofcourse his boss Jin didn't mind that he was gone, he read what happened.
And he could see that the normally happy boy was not okay.
"Just take it easy okay." Joshua said tying The8's apron for him. "Your gonna be alright. And plus me and Jeonghan are here. I had to convince to not reach for any knifes." Joshua laughs.
The8 cracked a smile when he got to work. And due to him finally being back at work, this spot apparently turned into an 'Attack The8 place'.
"Look who it is. The trash has returned to the dump he belongs in." One girl sneered as her other friends started to laugh with her.
"Jun must have realised that he was so much better than him, I'm glad it was only a few months we all had to suffer that." Another said.
"Jeez I know right. Imagine how Jun must have felt, such a toxic relationship." Another added.
They knew The8 heard every word they said. The8 would normally have some snappy and savage comeback that would prove he didn't care.
But this time he didn't.
He only turned back and headed back to the kitchen, tears pouring down his face as his breathing started to become heavy.
"Hao? What's wrong are you okay?" Jeonghan asked the second he saw the younger enter the room.
"Hyung, I-I-I can't. I can't do this." The8 choked out as his body shook.
"Shhh, shhhh breath it's alright. I got you." Jeonghan said holding The8 closely against his chest, letting him cry his heart out.
"I'm tired of fighting. For once I want to be fought for." He whispers as Jeonghan and Joshua both feel their hearts shatter.
They were about to go take care of those 3 girls, but Jin already beat them too it. And he was doing a fabulous job.
He was going OFF! on them, everyone was watching as the manager of the cafe was yelling at 3 girls and lecturing them on how disrespectful and rude they are.
After kicking the 3 out, Jin excused The8 from the rest of the work day. Jeonghan and Joshua personally escorted him out and back home.
But what The8 found on his porch just made his heart hurt worse.
It was a little white box and on the inside was a single sunflower necklace.
