[ A HANDSOME GHOST ]

━━━━━━━ ✤ ━━━━━━━

TO say that Hyejin was shocked would be an understatement, she was devastated. After the match she felt hatred towards playing volleyball, she started to think that she is not worthy to be called the ace of the team but now hearing that she won't be able to play, hurt her to no end. Despite her denial, she loved playing it, she loved the feeling of excitement when the ball hit her hand, she loved her team and winning. Yet she won't be able to do that now.

Hyejin was again crying, she didn't know what to do. Hyejin felt as if her life was ruined and believed that it was her fault all along.

Hyejin lived alone with her aunt. Her aunt just came a few minutes earlier and was a sobbing mess. The lady loved hyejin as if she were her own daughter and was shocked hearing the news. The doctor asked her consent for the operation and of course she agreed.

Hyejin kept on staring at the white wall in front of her, millions of thoughts running through her mind when she heard a thud nearby. She quickly turned to see earning a crack from her neck, "ow." There was nothing there. She was sure she heard something drop, her eyes trailed down to the book lying on the floor. "Weird.."

"What's weird?"

Hyejin froze as the unknown voice came from behind her. She couldn't yell for some reason. It was her habit, if she ever saw something scary, she wouldn't let out a sound and freeze. "Hello?" The person spoke again, making her visibly flinch. She was sure someone was there to kill her.

The person or rather a ghost appeared in front of her. Her face lost all the colour, she also resembled the ghost somewhat but she was alive. "You can see me?" The ghost in front of her was pale and see-through. He looked too handsome making Hyejin temporarily blind, ghosts can be handsome too was her first thought after fear. "N-no I can't."

"Hmm how can you say that when your face says it at all."

"You are a ghost.." Hyejin blurted out the obvious, she was confused as to how the heck she could see him and why was he floating here in her room. Her initial fear subsided and now she was curious. The pale figure in front of her snorted, "You are stupid."

"Hey!"

"Ssssh someone can hear you and think you are weird to be talking to yourself."

Hyejin made an 'o' face nodding in acknowledgment. "Who are you though?" She asked the floating ghost as he smiled at her. He looked as if he had no care for the world. "I am Taeyong. What about you?" Taeyong spoke as he sat on her bed, well he went through the foam slightly. "I am Hyejin."

Taeyong nodded, a small smile continuously on his face. He looked around the room as if judging it. A comfortable silence fell between them. Hyejin stared at the ghost curiously before he suddenly asked, "Why were you crying?" And then reality came rushing towards her, oh right I can't play volleyball anymore she thought as her eyes yet again filled with tears. Taeyong worriedly looked at her, he didn't want her to cry because of him. "I won't be able to play volleyball anymore, I hurt my knee.."

"Oh.." The mood turned gloomy all of a sudden as if someone had switched off the light, "Hey it's okay! You can do other things, it's not the end of the world." An optimistic smile made it's way on his face again making her scoff, "How would you know that? You are ghost."

"Atleast I don't cry about being a ghost."

"Why are you here anyway?" Hyejin asked the question lingering in mind since she met the ghost. Taeyong just gave her another smile making her heart skip a beat, He is too pretty.

"Just saw you crying so I wanted to check on you."

"Wh-" Hyejin was inturrupted by the squeaking of the door indicating someone had entered the room. Panicked, she looked in front of her again only to find the place previously occupied by Taeyong empty, he vanished in thin air, of course he was a ghost, maybe my imagination. I am really going insane she thought to herself.

"Unnie were you talking to someone?" Her teammate and junior asked her as she placed a box of doughnuts on Hyejin's side table, "No I wasn't." Hyejin lied making her teammate frown in confusion, "Weird.. I am sure I heard your voice."

"You probably just imagined."

"Maybe I did." Hyejin saw Taeyong behind her junior laughing at her making her suppress her own laughter to not embarrass herself infront of her hoobae. He then again vanished in thin air just when she blinked. I wasn't imagining after all.
