Eight

(Y/n)'s pov

I went to sleep and then that I had a dream that the chancellor was being killed by a Jedi with a purple lightsaber. I screamed in terror and woke up. I was covered with a thick layer of sweat all over my body. I walked around in my room thinking of what should I do. Should I go to Master Yoda about these dreams? Or warn the chancellor of the dreams that I have been having? 

Anakin's Pov 

As I was sleeping I had a dream about Padme dying. I woke up and I was breathing heavily when I stood up and walked out onto the balcony looking at the Jedi temple. I woke Padme up and she came walking down to be at my side. she could see that I was troubled by my dream and she asks " Ani, are you okay, do you want to talk about it." I looked at her with one tear streaming down from my eye said " Padme, I had a dream about you dying." hugging her tight " I don't want to lose you ever."

       "Ani you will never and those were dreams come back into bed with me okay?" Padme said I looked at her and gave her a kiss and went back to bed. But I was up all night wondering what I should do. Should I go to Master Yoda and ask him for advice. Or try to find a way to prevent Padme's death. 

The sun was up. As I got dressed and got onto my ship and went to the temple. As I got there I saw (y/n) talking to Obi-Wan about something that had happened to her last night. Her eyes looked swollen. My heart sank when I saw her like that. But I couldn't talk to her because I had to meet with Master Yoda about the dreams that I have been having about losing someone. I walked into Master Yoda's meditating room and asked if I could speak to him. As he nodded and said, "These visions you have..." 

I replied "They are of pain, suffering. Death."

Master Yoda nodded and asked"Yourself you speak of, or someone you know?"

I replied again"Someone."

Master Yoda said" Close to you?"

I looked up and said" Yes." 

Yoda nodded his head and looked at me"Careful you must be when sensing the future Anakin. The fear of loss is a path to the dark side."

I looked at him in worry and said: "I won't let these visions come true, Master Yoda."

Master Yoda looks at me shakes his head and disapproving of what I said "Death is a natural part of life. Rejoice for those around you who transform into the Force. Mourn them do not. Miss them do not. Attachment leads to jealousy. The shadow of greed that is." 

I looked at him in sadness and said: "What must I do, Master Yoda?" 

Master Yoda took a deep breath"Train yourself to let go... of everything you fear to lose." 

I looked down I couldn't believe what Master Yoda was saying I can't let go of Padme I just couldn't. So I bowed down and said thank you, Master." and walked out and I saw (y/n) walking into the chancellor's office.

(y/n)'s pov 

I woke up and I realized I wasn't ready to go to the temple but I had to. I got ready and flew to the temple and I saw Obi-Wan waiting for me and ran down and hugged him and said " I need to have a word with you, Master Kenobi.

Obi-Wan looked at me and said, "Let's go to a room to talk about this." 

I nodded. we got into a room 

Obi-Wan said "What had been troubling you (y/n)?' 

I looked down and told him " I had a vision of Chancellor Palpatine being murdered by a purple lightsaber."

"(y/n) you know vision is only a prediction of the future, It's not set in stone." Obi-Wan said concerned 

"But Obi-Wan It felt real," I said back 

"(y/n) if that ever happens, you need to let go of it." I looked Obi-Wan as he said that 

I looked down in sadness and Obi-Wan trying to comfort me. As I walked I said, "Thank you Master Kenobi." he nodded and walked out. I saw Chancellor Palpatine and walked to him and said: " Chancellor Palpatine I must speak to you." He nodded and said," come sit." as I walked and sat right next to him in front of an orb with pink stuff inside.

" chancellor Palpatine, I have a vision of you dying from a Jedi." said 

Chancellor Palpatine looked at me and said:" They're planning to betray me (y/n)."

I looked at him and said, "I don't think.." 

"(y/n), Search your feelings. You know, don't you?." he said

 "I do know they don't trust you," I replied back  

"Now you see, your visions are coming true," he said 

" I don't want to lose you, Chancellor." I cried back 

"you won't, what if I told you you can prevent my death," he said 

I looked at him and said," that's impossible."  

He smiled and said " oh but it is possible, Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise?' 

I looked at him and shook my head "No" 

 he continued on "He had such a knowledge of the Dark Side that he could even keep the ones he cared about... from dying." 

"He could save people from dying?" I said 

"The Dark Side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural," he said 

I looked at him strangely and asked: " what happened to him?" 

"He died because of his apprentice," he said 

"Is it possible to learn this?" I asked 

"Not by a Jedi," he said as I thought to myself and I walked carrying what Chancellor Palpatine just had told me.
