Blake's POV

I wake up with a pounding headache, which I usually don't get. What did Jerry even give me last night?

Last night.

Who was that guy? Why was he so interested in me?

"Dani!" I call the loudest I can without hurting my head but hoping she can still hear me.

"Hey babygirl. Are you feeling okay?" Dani asks as she walks into my room and sits on my bed.

"I don't really know. My head hurts and I'm confused as of what happened last night." I complain to my best friend.

"Aw, B. I brought three Advil, do you think that'll be enough?" She asks as she hands me the pills and a tall glass of water.

"Yes, thank you." I mumble as I swallow the pills and bury my head in my pillows. I hate hangovers, they usually aren't this bad.

"What did you even drink last night?" She questions.

"I honestly don't even know, I asked for the strongest he had. I was having a bad night." I shrug.

Dani lays down with me and starts playing with my hair. She's such a good friend to me and she's always here to comfort me when I'm hungover and sad.

"Are you hungry?" Dani asks as she takes her phone out of her pocket.

I reach over to my bedside table in search for my phone. Nothing.

"Dani, do you have my phone?"

"No, I'll check your purse." She says as she walks out of my room to look for my phone.

Dani comes back a few minutes later with nothing in her hands. "Bar." She says.

Of course, I left it at the god damned bar.

"Yes, I'm very hungry. Can we go get burgers?" I ask.

Dani doesn't answer and walks into my closet and pulls out some yoga pants and a hoodie.

She throws them on my bed and says "I'll be in the car." before walking out of my room.

I can't help but smile at how annoying it must be to take care of me, but she does such a good job.

I change into the clothes and grab my slippers before walking out to Dani's car.

-

We walked into our usual diner and said hi to Wendy at the hostess stand before sitting down.

"How are you ladies today?" Rebecca, our favorite waitress, asks us.

"Hungover." I mumble.

"Go figure." Rebecca laughs and sits down with us.

"Do you want water, chocolate milk, soda, coffee? I can get you anything." Rebecca tells me while rubbing my back.

"Chocolate milk sounds bomb as shit. What do you want, Dani?"

"Ehh, I'll just have water."

"Do you ladies want the usual?" Rebecca asks.

We both nod our heads and Rebecca takes our menus before walking off into the kitchen.

-

I get out of my car and angrily shut my door as I walk up to the bar.

Andy greets me while opening the door.

I walk to my usual seat in front of Jerry.

"Hey doll, how are you?" He asks clearly interested in my shitty life.

"I don't want to talk about it, just get me a drink." I grumble and put my head in my hands.

Jerry mixes me a drink and puts it in front of me. "You need to talk about it. Drinking isn't going to help you all the time, Blake."

"Yes it can, and it will. I said I don't want to talk about it. Do not fucking bother me, Jerry!"

I guess no one gets the memo that when I'm pissed off, I'm pissed off.

It's been four days since I've been to the bar, I think that might be a new record.

Jerry doesn't usually annoy me, I always seem to find him comforting. But tonight, I don't need to talk to anyone. I don't need anyone else's help. It's my life, my problems, I can deal with my own shit.

I don't need people worried about me all the time. I've taken care of myself for six years now. Most people my age are just now moving out of their parents houses and into apartments or dorms.

I made that move a long time ago. I'm not like most people my age, and I've learned to except that over the years.

I get snapped out of my thoughts when someone sits next to me.

You've got to be kidding me.

It's that blonde, annoying ass kid from the other night.

"Hey babe." He smiles that stupid smile.

"What the hell do you want?" I grumble.

"Oh, I thought it would be polite of me to bring you back something you mistakenly left the other night. But, I can go back to my car and drive home if you'd like? It's not like I've been coming back every night looking for you or anything."

I look up from my drink that's now empty and stare at him.

"You've had my phone this whole time?" I ask.

He nods his head and smirks.

"Well, may I have it back please?"

"You have to agree to something first."

"That depends on what I'm agreeing to." I reply.

"You have to agree to go on a date with me."

I lose it in hysterics.

"You've got to be kidding me!" I laugh. "I don't even know your name."

"But I know yours. You seem interesting, Blake. I might also think you're very pretty, but that's a different story."

I stop laughing. "Why won't you tell me your name?"

"I guess it's sort of fun seeing you getting flustered about it." He smiles.

"You're a jerk. Please give me my phone. I'm about to leave." I reply.

"Where are you going?" He asks.

"My home? I don't know, away from here. I don't really appreciate you coming to my get away and bugging the shit out of me. I'm not interesting, I'm fucking messed up. I come here because I have alone time and maybe, just maybe, will I let Jerry give me advice and try and help me out. But that is not your job! I don't even know you. Please just leave me alone." I explain and stand up form my seat.

Why doesn't he understand? Does he not know what "leave me alone" means? I dont get this boy.

His face has changed drastically and he seems annoyed with me now.

"My name is Luke, okay? Does that make you happy? God, why is it so wrong for me to want to know you? I've been here for three nights waiting for you to walk in so I could maybe talk to you and give you your phone back. I just want to take you out, damn it. We can go anywhere you want, even here, I don't care. I just want to learn more about you!" He states.

He takes my phone out of his pocket, placing it on the counter in front of me.

"Let me see your phone." I say.

"Why?" Luke asks.

"Don't you want to take me out?" I reply and a small smile takes over my features.

"Oh, um, I might have already put your number in my phone." He shyly answers and turns a light shade of pink.

"Thats cute." I laugh. "Bye, Luke."

A/N I'm so sorry it took me so long to update, I had ideas for this chapter but they weren't very good and didn't make sense. I hope you like it!
