THE SCHEMER'S MASTER PLAN

(SEUNGCHEOL)

I'm starting off my plan with a bang! My first target is my son Seungcheol.

This son of mine is the one I am most proud of. When I was asleep for long years, he took up the challenge of leading the whole family and the business. He became the family's anchor. My wife had slept comfortably because she had Seungcheol who was dependable and simply responsible. Like his papa, he has great business instinct and charm. What can I say; I am a pool of great genes!

He could be a great schemer, if I can say so myself. This is why I am starting with him.

If he was capable of reviving our company from the shambles, he would be able to see behind my schemes. And so I am using the best tactic—diversion. And what a better diversion could there be than love!

You got it right, I found a girl. And she is perfect. You have to see her; she is a beauty to behold. She is someone bright, literally and figuratively. A girl with good disposition in life and who can challenge Seungcheol intellectually. She is charming too. She is someone my son would need to survive the years he has to endure as the CEO of our company.

He could also use her skills in the kitchen; the boy—though muscled—is matchstick to me. He needs a little bit more feeding. And the woman in my mind is exactly what my son needs.

Now, I am happily married. Oh don't get me started. My wife, Hani, is as sweet as honey yet firm as steel. Only she can whip me. So fitting for my surname, de Leon which means THE LION.

I would be happy if my children could find their happiness as much as I have found mine.

I am getting old. Or rather I might not reach the age where it is proper to call me old. And so I wish to marry off Seungcheol and hopefully his brothers would take the hint and follow suit.

I could almost see how good their babies would look. They are perfect I'm telling you. But for them to materialize, their parents need a little Seven magic for them to see that they are meant to be.

With a little diet change and exercise I'll see to it that I'll live long enough to see a child born to them. And my dear wife Hani would have nothing to worry. She'll have my children and grandchildren to fret about after I'm dead and gone.

Bullocks! This is making me cry.
