Forbidden Love

Chapter 1

As the sun rose over the horizon, bring the day and scaring of the dark. Shining into the windows of my room up in a tall tower of the castle that was built in the center of the kingdom, a kingdom where demons and other kinds lived in harmony such as elves, animal human hybrids and many different kinds of fairies. We accepted each other and hybrids of different combinations, a peaceful land though we don't have everything but we still made the best of it...

As the sun shined onto my face, my eyes flattered open awoke by the blinding light. Stepping out of bed and stretching with a yawn that escaped my mouth spreading my black skeleton like wings, and untying my hair that was held up in a ponytail as I slept. Letting my lushes black hair flow down my back, looking out the window taking in the fresh morning air. Looking across the land only to be blinded once more by what was across the boarder, the angelic kingdom...

A kingdom that only has one kind and doesn't accept any other not even hybrids of their own, a place made of white where everyone is forced to fit in or leave. A castle made of crystals, that reflects the sun's rays, shining it right at us, a world of perfection and lies a kingdom filled with betrayal or demons most hated enemies.

Suddenly I heard a knock on my door, "come in" I said rubbing my eyes and looking away from my window "princess his highness wants to see you..." our helper said bowing politely "oh thank you for telling" I said thanking her before watching her leave the room. I'm the second child to the king with an elder sister that would always look down on me just because she's in line for queen...

I got dressed in my normal black dress putting a pair of leather boots, my hair braided as I grabbed my sword before leaving. Assassin that walked around the halls greeted me "good morning princess" they said bowing I just nodded my head walking towards the throne room. As I approached the throne room's door it slowly opened revealing my mother, father on the throne and my sister by their side, "you called me" I said bowing slightly "that's not a nice way to greet us" my sister Lunar said, I glared at her. "Good morning your highness" I said through my teeth hating what my sister makes me do, trying to resist killing her. "Much better" my father spoke with a cruel voice "why did you ask me here father" I questioned kneeling on one knee "we're sending you to school" he simply said "what which school" I asked getting back up on my feet "Horizon high" he spoke. My eyes widened "what never that school reeks of angels!" I exclaimed he didn't say a thing just set there looking at me "s-sorry" I said in realization "you and your sister will leave tomorrow, now leave" my father ordered both of us, we nodded and exited...

"Why did he suddenly ask us to go there?" I asked her suspiciously "cause I asked him to, I past by that place recently and saw the most handsome guy" her face lit up talking about it. No wonder, father would always listen to her, and I'm sent there just to protect her as usual. I didn't say another word just glared at my spoilt sister, she gets everything she asks for and me I don't even get to leave the palace gate. The only times I get to leave is on missions but I'd sneak out at night to run errands across the board for my mother or just explore the forbidden place.

After climbing flights after flights of stairs I finally made it back to my room, opening my door I  went inside closing the door behind me and started to pack everything I thought that I needed. Suddenly, someone knocked on my door "come in..." I said with no enthusiasm, but was surprised at who stepped in "mother what brings you here" I asked as she walked closer to me "giving you these" she said and handed me a sharpened sword that was to replace my worn out one and a moon charm necklace "what's this for?" I asked looking at her confused "to remind you of home so you don't feel home sick" she explained "thanks but I don't think I'll need it since I've been stuck here my entire life don't think I'll be feeling that anytime soon" I rolled my eyes "still keep it with you, a gift from me" she said with sincerity in her voice "did father ask you to bring this to me, pretty sure Lunar has a better one" I said with much hatred. She chuckled "same as always, comparing with your sister, and no she doesn't have this it's for you" she said sitting down beside me "I know that your father treasure her most and treats you like nothing but he still loves you try not to hate him ok..." she added "I'll try" I sighed "but I know he's only sending me there to do his dirty work to kill the angels there, that's why I don't want to go I don't want to hurt more innocent that barely even know anything" I explained looking out the window and towards the angelic kingdom. Being the king's most trusted assassin I could already predict what my father wanted me to go there for, not just to protect my worthless sister but to kill and hunt down the angels it was the perfect cover and if I could make my own decisions I refuse to go....
