It's packing day, and I couldn't be happier. We had to wait a day after we found out so that Undyne, the Captain of the Royal Guard could talk to the humans. They seem so chill about us coming back! They're even hosting a party for us! "Slappy," I start, looking into his, obviously nervous and anxious, eyes. "It's going to be fine! The barrier's been broken! They don't need souls anymore! That means... you don't have to be worried anymore. Just... wait here on my bed. We'll walk to the cliff together, okay?" He still looks worried. The forest in his green eyes turns into a sad swamp instead. He looks so scared, sad, and worried. I choke up at the sight of it. For some reason, even though I've only known him for a few days now, I feel strangely... warm inside. I shake off the feeling and look him in the eyes. "Listen," I start, trying to hid my anxious feelings about introducing Slappy to my family... again. "It's going to be okay. We'll get through this." I continue, now holding his hand, feeling the comforting warmth of another human hand. "I'm going downstairs to help truck all of our boxes to Undyne's place so she can carry it all up. It shouldn't take long." I smile warmly as I let go of his hand, now feeling my cheeks heating up. Suddenly, I feel Slappy pull me into his arms and into a warm embrace. Tears trickle down and meet the shoulder of my puffy F/C hoodie. "Hey... shhhh..." I soothe, rubbing circles into his back. Slappy stops crying after a bit and we let go. I wipe his tears away and start to walk away whe an idea strikes me. Since it would be wierd for my family to see my ventriloquist dummy is now alive and human now, I should rename Slappy - if he's okay with it of course. "Hey, Slappy?" I ask, gaining his undivided attention immediately. "To help everyone warm up to you first, being human now and all, we should give you a new name! That is... if you want to." Slappy beams, a huge smile spreading across his freckled cheeks. "Of course," Slappy says, becoming a ball of excitement as he tries to look and act calm. "I would love that." "Alright then," I say as I sit next to him on my bed. "Let's go over some names together." We go through many names together. Daniel? No. Charlie? No. Paul? No. Chris? No. Until one name comes up. "How about... Sam?" Slappy gasps at the simplistic name in utter joy, tears forming in his eyes once more, but in happiness this time.
"I love it!" He exclaims in happiness, clapping his hands in excitement. "Alright then," I say, standing up from the bed, holding out my hand to him. "I would love for you to meet my family, Sam." Slappy takes my hand and we start to walk out of my bedroom and downstairs to the kitchen. "I would love that." Slappy says as we approach the table to talk to my family, who are all sitting at the table, even Brandon is here. "Hey everyone," I start, all of their eyes now on me and Slappy - I mean Sam. "I would like you all to meet my close friend Sam." Sam waves at them and they smile and wave back. "Well, it's very nice to meet you, Sam." my mom says with a warm smile. "Likewise." Sam replies. "Ooh!" Sarah gasps with a smile that just shouts, 'my sister has a boyfriend.' "He's veeery well mannered! I like him already!" My face turns fifty shades of red as I shake my head furiously. "No no no no no no!" I say in a mild panic as my gaze turns into a glare and I break a sweat. "He's just a really close friend. Right, Sam?" I look at Sam and see he's sweating a bit too. "Y-yeah," He starts nervously, biting his lower lip a bit. "Just close friends." I see Sarah with that look she gets when she can read me like a book. I hope she doesn't call out my blatant lie. I don't just mean Slappy's name either. I... I'm honestly kinda falling for him. He looks like the type of guy all of the girls would fawn over. His earthy brown orbs meet my E/C ones as he snaps his fingers in front of my face. "Hey," he chuckles. "You there?" I just smile and reply with a "yes." I shake my head and prepare to drag Sla- er- Sam out the door. "Come on Sam!"I exclaim as I drag him out the door. "I've got to show you around!" The whole room smiles at us and bid us a short farwell as we bolted out the door. This will be lots of fun.*A/N: Oh wow! That went suprisingly well! Where do you think you'll both go first?
