Rain's POV
After getting home i see my step father's car. My stomach turns as i walk in.
"Hey rain" he says smiling
"Uh hi" i say
"Wanna have some fun?" He asks
"No, I'm good" i say
He slaps me across the face leaving a mark "DON'T GET SASSY WITH ME" he screams
"Please just leave!" I ask
"Fine. Call your mom soon, i might or might not be back" he says leaving.
I look at my face and there is a huge bruise on my face!!! Oh god! Nick will freak!!
Oh yeah, my real father passed away when i was 12 years old of cancer. 1 year later my mom met someone named "brett" and yeah that's my abusive step father. I'd rather not get into it right now. Why? Oh yeah I've gotta cover my face before nick arrives!!
I cover my face really well or so i thought. I put my hair in a long ponytail curling it. I put on a pair of gray sweats, black hoodie that says "aeropostale NCY" on it and wait for nick.
Nick's POV
The guys wanted me to help them with a video idea so I'm gonna do that but first I'm gonna shoot rain a text.
Nick: hey beautiful! I'll be there in 1 hour. Helping the guys with a video idea. I love you ❤❤
A few mins later my phone dings meaning new message.
💋😍my angel💋❤: hey, okay see you soon! I love you too.
I furrow my brows she isn't okay i know her well enough by now.

After finishing with the guys i text rain that I'm on my way.

Nick: are you alright baby?

Nick: what's wrong?

Rain's POV
I need to tell him about this keli already knows the history between by step father&i he wasn't a nice man always nice when my mom was around as soon as her back was turned he would threaten me, beat me, starve me,you name it he did it. She doesn't even know about any of this and she probably never will because i want her to be happy.
I'm pulled away from my thoughts when there is a knock at the door.
"Who is it?" I ask
"Nick" nick says
I anwser the door "hey"
He remains quiet studying my face, he runs his thumb over my cheek. I flinch in pain. Once he looks at his thumb and see the extra make up his eyes widen "w-who did this to you?" He asks
I take his hand and pull him inside, wow I'm either stong or he's weak. Lol XD love ya♡♡. Anways we sit on the couch and i explain everything to him and he listens and let's me rant.
"So your mom doesn't know?" He asks
"No, i want her to be happy" i say
He lays on the couch and motions for me to lay on top of him. I smile and lay on him with my head on his chest.
"I think it's really sweet you care so much for your mom that you'd do that but don't you think she would want you to be happy?" He asks
I sigh "baby, she's done so much for me and sacrificed so much. Why shouldn't i return the favor?"
"Because babygirl you are a lady and don't deserve to be hit or abused so i think you should tell your mom soon" he says kissing my lips i kiss back.
"I'll tell her tommrow i promise okay? For now just hold me for the rest of the night baby" i say smiling
He smiles and pulls me closer to him as he holds me tightly and protectively.
