"Huh?"
David's eyes fluttered open to view an amazing sight. David was floating in a mysterious world where endless rows of plants thrived and the purple background swirled around.
"What the..." He began.
"HELLO DAVID" A mysterious, robotic voice exclaimed.
David flinched and pushed himself backwards, flying through the air. A confused look sprung on to his face.
"YOU MUST BE WONDERING WHERE YOU ARE." The metallic voice continued, " WELL, YOU ARE...."
"I am.... what?"
"BZZT... BEEP.... BZZZ...."
The voice was muffled as a massive, mutated, monster of a spider leaped out from behind one of the green formations. David swivelled around when he heard the slight rustling from the plant.
"What the heck is that!" The surprised boy exclaimed, "Ahhh!"
David swung his arm in front of his face to shield it, but at the same time, a plant gushed out of it's place at extreme speed, stabbing through the spiders body. The spider froze in space with a thick vine impaled through him. David lowered his arm and stared with wonder, but at the same time with disgust. Green slime oozed out of the monsters wound and flew around in the air. The boy slowly swam towards the lifeless creature. Suddenly, the spiders eyes flashed open, and a stream of bright, yellow light poured out of them."Ahhhhhh!"
David yelled and shot up. He sat on his bed breathing heavily.
"Just a dream...."
He sighed with relief. David slowly lay back down and rested his head on his soft, fluffy pillow.
"Just a dream, just a dream." he kept telling himself. Yet for some reason he wasn't quite so sure. How did it feel so real? Why would he be dreaming about a massive arachnid battling him? He had so many questions. Maybe he was still thinking about the incident with Michel, that's why there was a monster attacking him.
"Yeah...." He thought, "it's just me thinking about Blackwood...."David trudged out of bed and eyed his digital clock.
"6:30AM THURSDAY" it displayed.
He rubbed his eyes and stretched as he walked to his wardrobe. 'KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK'
David stopped, and trod to the bedroom door. He flung it open to see his parents glaring, worried, at him.
"Oh Dave!" his mum exclaimed as she brought him into her arms, "We where so worried!
David smiled as he embraced his parents. He had been so tired after all the commotion at school that he hadn't had the chance to see his parents the previous day. He sat down and talked to his mum and dad, ensuring them that he was fine. Once they had gone he got ready for school once more and started watching some television.School was different now. People were still excited after the extraordinary events of Wednesday. They where giggling and whispering to each other, and talking about what happened to David and Michel. Another thing was now, everyone avoided David. It's true, he didn't have any friends, but now, people where deliberately avoiding him. He began to feel lonely, but at least now the bullies stayed away, and the teachers gave him less attention. After lunch, a few days later, he walked out of the cafeteria, with a full tummy, finally. Then, he saw the concrete slab laying in an army of dried blood. It hadn't been removed yet. Suddenly, horrible memories of pain and terror flooded back into David's head.
"Argh!"
David toppled over backwards and a massive thick vine shot out of the empty hole and smashed into the concrete slab, crushing it with immense power, causing it to shatter in to thousands of rocky fragments. Everyone swerved their heads towards the scene. David stumbled backwards and crawled away from the plant. Then, as the vicious vine slowly slithered back into the ground, he recognised it. It was the same plant that stabbed the spider monster, and it struck with the same force and speed. David stared at the plant in horror.
"Did I..... How did....Could I...."
