Backstorys- Kate

Kate was born Kathleen Sophie Wright to two loving parents, Linda and Harry. They lived a happy life and about four years after Kate they welcomed another little girl to their family. Kate's little sister Martha. Martha and Kate were inseparable and maybe that was their downfall.
By the time Kate was six Martha was two and was walking around like she was going to battle with the world. Kate and her would play whenever Kate was home from school but Martha didn't ever want Kate to leave for school.
One day as Kate was climbing into the bus Martha was dead set on coming to school with her. So much so that she even tried to get on the bus. But the doors had already closed so Martha just sat under neath and waited for them to let her in. But they didn't let her in. No, they were a school bus and school buses have places to be. So it drove off, while little Martha was still sitting underneath it.

The bus stopped almost immediately after hitting the bump. And Kate jumped out so quickly she left all her belongings behind.

Kate was the first one to see Martha. She was lying so still Kate could have sworn she was sleeping. So Kate, only being young went over to wake her little baby sister up.

And that's where Linda found her two girls.

But Martha never woke.

Kate was young when it happened but not young enough to forget. She lived with the idea that it was her fault and that mindset really isolated her. So she put everything she had into her school life, keeping her grades to A's to show her parents she was better. Of course her parents changed too. They lost their baby, sure they loved Kate but when she distanced herself from them they did the same. All love and all emotion was drained from Kate's house the day Martha didn't wake up.
So Kate would work her ass off to show her parents she changed and that nothing like what happened to Martha would ever happen again.

Kate realised she was Pansexual in year 7 but she was still to focused on school to date, plus she was scared of peoples reactions when they found out. She was scared of her parents reactions when they found out. So for now she stayed in school and she stayed in her land ruled by literature.

Kate was only out to a few people, her closest friends who didn't seem like they cared all that much. But there was one of her friends who told her boyfriend, Bobby Donner, who was known to be rather homophobic. He had slowly and quietly been letting off insults at Kate all day. Until she got fed up. Kate wasn't a violent person but she was really pissed off. She knew that technically they couldn't prove that Bobby had been saying any of these things but she didn't care because she knew he was. And karmas a butch so he'll get his serving later. So when he called her some rather nasty words during math class she stood up and dropped her hard cover edition of J.K Rowling's Order of the Phoenix on his balls.

And she got detention.
