Later that day.

Mark waited for Donghyuck at the school gates after school. After a few minutes, the older sees the brunette run towards him with a bag slung over his shoulder.

" Hey hey hey, what's the rush? I'm not going anywhere! ", Mark says as the younger pants for breath.

" Didn't want to keep you waiting ", says the latter " Shall we go? I'm dying for a cold coffee ", the older nods as they both walk towards the cafe, side by side.

They walk in and Donghyuck settles himself while Mark gives the orders. One cold coffee with a slice of strawberry cheesecake for Donghyuck and one chocolate espresso with a banana croissant for Mark.

The older returns to their table and sits opposite to the latter.

" So, why didn't we get to know each other a little better? ", Mark initiates and the younger nods with a smile.

Their drinks arrive as they talk and talk for hours on end. They just instantly clicked, no awkward silences.

It's almost evening so they decide to go and catch their movie. On arriving there, Donghyuck chooses a cringey rom-com movie. The older whines as he hates rom-coms, but when it came to the latter, Mark could never say no, but he had other plans.

Instead of watching the movie, Mark just admired the brunette sitting next to him, who was giggling every few minutes. The latter caught the older staring a few times which gave the him a little courage to grab hold of Mark's hand from under the seat and intertwine it with his, giving a little squeeze as he continued watching the movie.

The older, completely surprised by this action, sweats nervously, not before getting used to the feeling of the younger's hand in his, holding on to it a little tighter, earning a smile from the latter.

Once the movie was done, they both were walking their way home. Donghyuck's house was close by but Mark had insisted that he would walk the younger home.

" Thanks for today ", Donghyuck says to the latter as they stand before his house.

" You're welcome. I don't know about you but I enjoyed today "

" I enjoyed too. We should do this more often "

" We should ", the latter says with a wide smile. " See ya tomorrow Hyuck "

" See you ", Donghyuck says before heading into his home, but turns back momentarily, runs up to me, tiptoes and gives me a peck on the cheek, " Goodnight ", he says and runs back into his home.

Leaving behind a flustered Mark, holding onto his right cheek, trying to process what just happened and once he does, he walks back home with a smile, his thoughts filled with today's events.
