Elijah descended down the stairs slowly as he listened to all of the boisterous noises coming from the kitches. As the heel of his fancy dress shoes touched the first tile as he entered the kitchen. He eyes bestowed upon the woman he loved as she turned around removing her mouth from the neck of an innocent woman who looked about the age of seventeen. Hayley looked at him as she grabbed a towel to wipe her mouth and said "Want some?" with her eyes gleaming as the words flowed out from her mouth naturally. She waited a moment for his answer before turning around continuing to drain the young woman's blood. Elijah stood there with one hand in his pocket as he watched her and said slowly "Now was that absolutely neccesary?" before turning his back and walking out with an exspressionless face.
He walked down the hallway with a small frown on his face. He knew that she wasn't under control and that the people of this city weren't safe with her feeding habits off the rails. He rested his hands on the balcony' railings with a firm grip, as he looked down upon the square where his brother fought against Marcel and his army, where he fought against Guerrera wolves for the safety of the city. He exhaled sharply as he watched his brother walk across the square and sit himself at a table across from another vampire who so happened to be female.
Elijah looked down at his brother and said "May I have a word with you Niklaus?" in a tone where Niklaus didn't really have much of a choice. Klaus smirked a little at the blond female sitting across from him before vamp swooshing to the same level as his brother as he said "How can i help you Elijah? Please make this worthy of my time because there is a beautiful woman down there who is definitely worth my time." He said smirking a little at him. Elijah scoffed slightly before saying "Not that I am not doubting your ability to seduce someone for your own pleasure, but I ask of you to speak with Hayley. She kills more and more as the days grown on." Klaus looked at his brother and said "You are a fool for believing that I could possibly say something that will ease her pain." Elijah looked as his brother with one hand in his pocket and said "Perhaps, but I promised her, that I would always protect her, even if it means from herself, and I shall not break my word."
Klaus looked at him laughing a little before saying "you are a sentimental fool when it comes to her." as he continued to laugh at his eldest brother who was alive. Hayley came from around the corner walking past them and said "If you wish to have conversations about me, than at least make sure I'm not within hearing distance." After making a quick hasty eye contact with Elijah she walked away quickly with the heels of her boots clinking loudly on the wooden floor boards. Klaus looked at his foolish brother laughing once more before jumping off of the balcony landing in his chair talking it up with his new blond vampire friend. Elijah sighed as he looked in the distance where she once stood as she sassed him once more and a small smile rose on his face and slowly slid away as he thought of all the trouble she's going through alone as she insists to not let anyone in.
He turned around heading towards the other way as he headed out of the back door as his left foot touched the sidewalk with a small glimpse of happiness in the air as he watched Hayley walk past on the other side of the street. He quickly vamp swooshed behind next to her walking at the same pace. Hayley walked next to him and said "Here to intrude and suggest positive influences on my eating habits?" Elijah smiled a little looking at her not saying anything at first, before saying "At the precise moment, I have chosen to not make comments on your food intake." looking at her as they walked together on the streets. She scoffed a little before stopping to look at him "and what about later?
You get to just choose when you make comments about my eating habits."
She said shoving past him continuing to walk picking up her pace. Elijah vamp swooshed back next to her keeping up and said "That's not what I meant, I would rather help you, than nitpick and make complaints." He says stopping her from walking, as he looking into her beautiful eyes. Hayley stopped as she looked back at him feeling her heart beating faster as she saw the sense of love and hope in his eyes, the way he used to look at her before. As if she was still just an innocent little wolf carrying a miracle baby. She smiled a little as she but her lip before saying "Yeah, okay." Before vamp swooshing away.
Hayley stood in the bayou inhaling deeply knowing she couldn't go back down the road of wanting Elijah to sweep her off her feet and carry her away into fairy take world. She couldn't have what she wanted, no matter how deep the desire dug around inside her chest. She knew that he didn't love her he same way he once did, and she would never get it back, and apart of her wanted it more than anything in the world. Of course after the ability to hold her daughter once more and to eventually bring her home. A small tear fell from her face and dropped onto her knee seeping through the thin clothing, close after more followed the first tear's path. Hayley sniffed several times before using the outside of her thumb to wipe away all of the tears. Her hands dangled over her knees as she thought about the daughter that she could never raise. Hayley pressed her hands on her thighs as she slowly rose up to her feet looking over at the river whose beauty shone bright as the sun glimmered against it's surface. She smiled a little as she made the mental note of wanting to bring her daughter here one day and let them both reminisce in the beauty of the bayou. Hayley heard the slow pacing footsteps of another.
She turned around just to see a member of her pack prancing around as if today was a good day. Jackson smiled a little as he saw her and said "You've come back to your home." She chose not to speak at the precise moment and then said "Well, there was no one for me to come here to see." she said looking away and then continued to say "I'm not wanted here remember? Everyone believes I'm an abomination. And I have yet to show them that they are wrong." she continued to look over at the river. Jackson took several slow steps towards her "Your still the same Hayley," he said resting his hand on her shoulder. she quickly shook it off turning around looking at him saying "Maybe to you." Before shoving past him, as she walked away from him vamp swooshing away. She wasn't the same, she wasn't some wolf anymore, but a hybrid, she had become half of a creature she spent her existence dreading, once she brought upon her curse. She no longer had a beating heart where she was able to age. So as Hayley stood there thinking about what her next move with her life would be, a shadow hovered over her from the back. She righted her muscles as she turned around on her heels slowly.
