She turned around quickly strikes the person behind her blinded by who it was, but when she opened her eyes after blinking a few times. The person who stood in front of her was Elijah. He exhaled with a small hint of annoyance but also a slight hint of satisfaction before looking at her curiously. Hayley looked at him before saying "I didn't know it was you." Before shoving past him still upset over what he previously said. He grabbed her wrist pulling her back gently looking her in her eyes as her face was within an inch of his "Hayley...." She looked at him before shaking him off saying "Don't Hayley me, you chose to think the worst about this and about me." then stomped away. He opened his mouth beginning to say "Is that what you really believe? That I had no hope for your redemption after your transition? That I still yearn to help you?" He said with her back facing her. Elijah took a step forward decreasing the space between them saying "Because if you thought that, then your wrong." he said his his arms out in the air forming a horizontal line. Hayley turned around with her hair in her face "Then tell me Elijah." He looked at her with his lips pressed firmly together without looking at her.She shook her head and slapped her hands against her thighs "or not, leave me thinking the worst about you, because that is not the Elijah I know and...." she stopped talking and just looked at him.
Elijah looked at her and said "I have spent countless waking hours since your transformation thinking of ways to help you, I wanted what was best for you, and at the moment, I was not what was best. I couldn't help you. I was useless, but I held onto hope and asked Niklaus to help you, because I didn't understand anything about the grief you were going through with your daughter." He stopped and just looked at her not knowing what else to say to make her understand.
He never stopped loving her. His feeling hadn't changed, but he knew that him loving her just wasn't enough. Hayley looked at him and said "I can't-- I can't do this right now. Me and you we aren't compatible, at least not right now.." her voice broke off at the end as she vamp swooshed away from him. Elijah stood there for a moment as he mind blanked out and all of the trees surrounding him and everything in the bio slowly began to turn into a large blur before he passed out. He body fell straight forward making face first contact with the ground. Ester slowly came from behind a tree and hovered above him and said softly "Now that was very heartbreaking." Ester slowly began to chant and watched as the mystical force formed around her and her son. The mystical force began to build itself up higher and then eventually closing around them. Elijah awoke after several hours gasping loudly as he quickly stood up and faced his mother. "What have you done to me ?" She smiled slightly before saying "Nothing that will cause you harm, my dearest child." He looked at her and said "Why are you doing this?" Ester smiled a little as she said "To show you child, that you need to give up your vampirism for a normal human life." Elijah looked at her without saying anything else and he saw Hayley and yelled her name. Nothing happened she continued to walk as if she couldn't hear him. Elijah turned around facing her mother and she said "No one can hear or see you. Your stuck here with me Elijah." His eyes widened a little as he turned around closing his eyes as he called her name once more, knowing it was hopeless. Elijah closed his eyes as he sank down onto the wet mushy ground of the bayou.
