Modern English Title: Confession of a Would-Be Queen
Author's Note: You will notice that some words are spelled oddly, they are not errors, rather deliberately written according to the period when the story took place. To distinguish, the Middle English spelling will be in italics (or at least I will try in the best of my capacity). Otherwise, feel free to point out my mistakes and I will correct them. I hope you enjoy reading Princess Carreen's confession.

I am Princess Carreen from the house of Everild. My father is King Edmund, the gentlest and kindest king from all of Vetusdeur. My mother, Queen Alivia, is from the Destur clan. They are of noble blood but a dying clan, therefore does not belong to a house. It was a tradition of arrange marriage that brought them together.
I am the first born but my brother, Edward, will inherit our Father's throne. So in order to secure my future and uphold tradition, Father had made a pact with the neighbouring kingdom, the house of Aaromons. When Prince Adair turns eighteen, we will be united in marriage. Securing my future, as Father wishes.
I still have to meet him, you see. People who have met him had said he is crude and ill-tempered. I am afraid but I cannot tell Father. My duty as a daughter is to obey.
The time has finally come to meet the Prince on the occasion of his 17th name day. Before the sun rises on the morrow, I will be starting the five-day journey to the castle that sits on the highest peak in all of Vetusdeur. Liana, my lady-in-waiting, and a few knights will travel with me.
Join me in my journey of discovering my real self and true love.
