I managed to stay awake a little longer - with the help of Jon teasing out round two, and I slept like a log until late the next day. I rolled over to find the bed empty, but heard cooking sounds from the kitchen.

"Good morning, beautiful" he smiled as he pushed food around a frying pan. I padded in, wearing his t-shirt from the day before and sat on a stool at the island. "Coffee?"

"Yes please. You're perky"

"I'm happy" he said a he poured a cup. "I got my girl back, she's looking hot as hell in my tee, We're at a party tonight where I can show her off to the world. Life is good" he handed me the cup, and leant cross to give me a quick kiss. I couldn't help but smile back at him.

I sipped my drink as he sat, kinda staring. "Everything ok?" I asked as he sat grinning like a fool.

"Yup. Just lookin'" he goofed

"Oh-Kay?!" I drew out my response with a quizzical tone and we sat for a beat.

"Do you want to get married?" He asked. Very randomly and out of the blue, but the look on his face said he's been thinking about it for a while.

"What?!" I swallowed my coffee a little hard.

"Like, is that something you'd imagined doing? Getting married?" He stood up straighter and resumed cooking.

"To you??" I asked perhaps a little more shocked than he was expecting.

"I'd hope so" he smiled.

"Are you asking?" I hesitantly queried.

"Ummm?"

"Cos if that's how your proposing then -"

"-not really proposing" he interrupted "just, maybe, seeing the lay of the land" he winked and dished up our breakfast.

"Ha. Ok, we'll I guess yeah, I kinda thought I'd get married. How about you?" I wasn't sure weather I wanted to know the answer. He'd spent a long time with Jen with out that change in commitment, and marriage wasn't something he'd really every talked about.

"I guess, I didn't really have the best role models for marriage in my parents. But I'm not ruling it out" he took his plate past me and toward the dining table "and I'm becoming more and more into the idea of having a wife" he smiled as he kissed me quickly on the way past. I sat for a moment, a little in shock. This wasn't the conversation I expected to have over breakfast.

"What about kids?" I asked - in for a penny, in for a pound and all.

"I recon I'd have to be quick about that. I'm old remember" he smiled and sipped his drink. "Is mid-forties too old to start a family?"

"I recon the cut off is 50. Starts to get a little much after then, right?" I teased. "Dad was like 50 something though when he started again, the small ones don't care"

"50 seems like a good target" he teased. "Do you want my babies?" He suggestively raised his eyebrows.

"I could be persuaded" I got up joined him at the table.

"Oh yeah?" He sat back and gestured for me to sit on his lap. "And what would I have to do to persuade you?' I sat over his legs. His fingers tracing up my thigh.

"I guess the action of making a baby is the best bit, right?" I kissed him.

"I'd agree there. Fancy getting some practice in?" He wiggled his eye brows and his fingers worked between my legs, as his mouth dropped open in that incredibly cute way it does when he's being a little silly and perfectly kinky.

We spent the morning back in bed, enjoying every bit of being back together. Teams arrived in the afternoon to glam us up somewhat at I actually started to get a little nervous about letting all out. That was until we sat in the car in the way over. Jon looked impossibly hot in his burgundy suite, and sweater. (Roll neck covering the slightly conspicuous mark I'd accidentally left on his neck the night before). He held my hand across the seat, before announcing "I've never been so excited to talk about a relationship, or like tell press stuff. It's weird right? but I guess this is the sort of last time it's our secret" he looked over. "I can't wait to show off about you" he beamed that goofy grin and I couldn't wait to tell the word he was mine.

"We all kind of knew it, right? But Grace Ballis and Jon Hamm put all rumours to rest last night as they stepped out together at the Independent spirit awards in LA.

The couple looked perfectly glam as they arrived in the same car and walked the red carpet hand in hand, only separating for a few interviews.

Jon was a little more tight lipped and only answers a few questions on the red carpet. But, when asked how the couple met, Grace let us know it had been 'on for a while' after meeting on set and that the two of them were very happy.

Publicists from both teams last night let out join confirmations that the two have been a couple for while now, including details of how Grace (31) moved in with Hamm (46) late last year and, although she's been away filming recently, they've been pretty much inseparable since last spring.

Reports from after parties were that the new couple could barely keep their hands off of each other. Friends of the two have known about this for a while and so there were no surprises for them. They spent the night partying with mutual friends such as Olivia Wilde, Elizabeth Moss and the evening's host Aubrey Plaza.

The two have been rumoured to be together a few times over their press tour for their tv series last autumn, in particular one interview where Grace described her idea man as, well basically Jon Hamm. I mean, isn't he everyone's ideal man!?."
