1) He Fell For You

Hi everyone! I'm writing my note up here instead of at the bottom, Idk why but oh well.
This is going to be similar to my other short story, which you should read and I hope you enjoy this story/the song. Green Day is awesome :)

Kaoru' POV:
Sitting in his enormous bedroom, Kaoru types away, working on his English project with his partner, y/n. Glancing to the side, he watches as you tuck a strand of your loose h/c hair behind your ears as you glue images of your travel destination down.

Damn, she's cute, he thinks to himself as he studies you gluing the images of some popular tourist destinations in Spain down on a white poster. No, stop thinking like that, he thinks to himself, feeling his face go red. You look back up at him and you both lock eyes and he inhales quickly a little, and you tilt your head a give him a smile.

"Why are you staring at me, Kaoru?" you say, giggling a little, and he furiously trys to search up some more images for the poster, pretending he just didn't do that. "I wasn't staring at you," he says quickly, not daring to look up. You scoot closer to him, and he feels his breathing speed up.

"I like the picture of that one," you say, pointing to a fancy image of the Barcelona Cathedral. "Yeah it's really pretty," he says, and looks to the side to see you leaning in closer. So pretty just like you. "Okay, then print it," you say, and give him a quick toothy smile. For a moment, Kaoru thinks for a second and proceeds to put his custom made lap top down on the floor next to him. Sitting up a little straighter, he takes your hand just as you're trying to scoot back to the poster.

Quickly, he looks down at his slightly larger hand on top of yours and you look at him with wide eyes. "Kaoru, what's wrong, why do you keep on staring at me?" How does she say my name like that? It just sounds so... reassuring when she says it. So right. "Well..." he says, moving a little closer to you until you're sitting side by side, still holding hands. "I'm sorry but I have to do this."

Suddenly, he gently places his hand on your cheek and slowly turns it towards him, and he leans in and gently kisses your lips. To his surprise, you start to kiss him back. "I love you y/n," he says after a few moments, releasing you, but all of a sudden you start hitting him. "Ow! Why are you doing that?" he whines, and you don't stop, shouting "wake up we are going to be late!" Trying to get away, he leans back but you punch him right in the head, making his world go black for just a moment.

"Kaoru! Kaoru!," shouts Hikaru, trying to shake him awake, and he snaps his eyes open and sees that he's in his bedroom, but in bed this time. With his pjs on. With you nowhere to be found. "Oh my god I thought you were dead," says Hikaru, who is now standing next to Kaoru's bed impatiently. "You overslept, we are going to be late for school" Sitting up, Kaoru ruffles his hair and explains that he was just working on a project with someone from class. "Duh, you had a nightmare," says Hikaru, growing even more impatient.

"Oh, okay." Getting up, Kaoru races around his room getting changed and doing other morning stuff in record time. Before he leaves, he stares into the bathroom mirror back at his reflection and notices that his heart is still pounding. Why would I be dreaming about y/n? She's just one of my classmates... I've barely even talked to her.

"Kaoru let's go!" shouts Hikaru, banging on the door, and Kaoru gives one last look at the mirror to notice the slight color in his cheeks after thinking about what he did at the end of the dream. And why would I kiss her? I've never thought about her in that way before..., he thinks with concern, feeling like a nervous wreck. Deciding to try and be as normal as possible, Kaoru finds his twin and they both head off to school.

Your POV:
Oh no, it's him! You think to yourself as the twins walk into class, five minutes late. "Mr. Hitachiin and Mr. Hitachiin, why are you late?" Shrugging, Kaoru says, honestly, "I overslept," and the teacher just sighs. "Kaoru this is only your first tardy, but Hikaru this is your 14th this year," he says, sounding dissapointed as he marks his attendance book and puts it away. Heading towards the chalkboard, the teacher begins to explain a new assignment as Hikaru and Kaoru shuffle into their seats in the back of class. Haruhi, the scholarship student and the twins' good friend is shooting them death glares.

Your family runs one of the top travel agencies in the world, so by Ouran's standards you aren't super rich, but you definitely aren't poor. Still, you're thankful for what you have. Whenever you have free time in class, you love hearing Haruhi talk about how a commoner like herself lives, and you have promised her to take her on a luxury vacation sometime soon.

Hikaru, Kaoru, Haruhi, and yourself all sit in the back of the class (in that order) together, but still you catch yourself staring at him, just like in that weird dream you had. Why would I be dreaming of him? Ugh, I though I was over this years ago. "Alright, everyone, now for partners," says your teacher, and you listen as he gives it out: "We have Haruhi Fugioka and Hikaru Hitachiin together," he begins, starting to read off names. Hikaru smiles excitedly at her, but all she does is eyeroll at him back.

Oh, yeah, Haruhi being a girl. You saw her using the girls bathroom once and was curious so you cornered her and asked what a guy was doing in the ladies room and she confessed her true identity. But that was like a week after she got here, and now it's already mid-school year.

"And, finally, Y/n L/n and Kaoru Hitachiin are partners. Your projects are due this coming Friday and I expect them to be superb," he says with finality, and you feel your breath hitch. Why him? Of course, you had nothing against him... it was just that you were one of the girls he harshly rejected in middle school. I hope he doesn't remember that. Glancing in his direction, you see that he isn't even looking at you and you just shake your head from side to side a little, wishing you weren't partnered with him or you had that dream.

When class finally ends a little later, the twin with the left parted hair walks up to you and stands at your desk and asks with a smile, "so do you want to come to my house after school today to work on the project?" Giving a quick yes, you scurry out of the classroom, hoping that nothing in that dream you had last night will will ever happen. TBC
