My Time To Fly

i still sit in wait
i wonder if it is worth my time
the silence from him is deafening
and it is slowly driving me mad

but somehow i knew of this outcome
i knew i would lose
and in all fairness that is fair
and this once i accept defeat

surprisinly my heart isn't empty
there are others that make me smile
people that are close to me
and some that are far away

there is one that is reacurring
he is very sweet
extremely charming
and surprisingly so very weird

there is the new girl in town
the old friend
2 friends that live too far away
and the friend that you used to crush on

many people keep up my spirits
some make me smile
some keep me company
and others ruin my plans

no matter how you keep me occupied
