This is Me

Why I Smile

i smile a lot these days
i smile when im with my friends
i smile when i'm on stage
i smile when i'm dancing

i don't know why though
i used to be so sad
and ohh so depressed
but im so joyful now

my only conclusion is this
im out of the closet
im not hiding anymore
and i feel so alive

i have friends
i go out with them
i never really think of the past
and if i do... i smile at how far i've come

another big reason why i smile is because of him
he rules my every waking day
i know he's anonymous now
but he still makes me smile even though he and she are still in love

no matter at least i still have my smile
and i have no reason to stop
soon i'll be able to live free of my restraints
and i can only hope i will just smile more

so i salute to the days of yester-year
and the days of the morrow
may those days make me smile... and cry
so that i may remember to smile wider

and to you my anonymous love
may you enjoy your life with her
but may i remeber to tell you of me
so that you may never forget me as well

i smile for all the good times
i smile for all that i have accomplished
i smile for all the people that make me laugh
and i smile for those that i might help smile again

because the world would just not be right if i wasn't passing on my awesome, unique, and passionate smile so that one day some one else that once was sad might smile just like me
