14 - A Turn of Events

[f/n]'s P.o.V.

And there, he did it, he proposed to her, Eren and Audrey are getting married.

And after I saw all of this play, I turned my heel and ran out of my office.

I ran and ran through the halls. Tears were now falling from my misty eyes. My head was aching, my breathing was choked, like there's some rope tied tightly around my throat. I bumped on some people, but I don't care, I just ran and ran. My hearing heard nothing but my pumps thumping on the carpet floor.

Suddenly my legs felt tired. I looked forward and saw the fire exit door. I pried it open and went in. I collapsed, sitting on one of the steps of the stairs.

And there, I started crying, my two hands covering my face and wiping away the tears.

Why did he do that? Why did he proposed? Eren is a total jerk, and idiot. But then, why am I hurt? Do I still love him?

My cries echoed around the white painted walls and nothing could be heard but my cries and breathes.

That's when suddenly, I heard the door open. I looked up with my [e/c] eyes, red and swollen.

Mikasa gently closes the door and looked at me, worry in her expression. I looked at her and sniffed, wiping away my tears and my nose.

She sat down beside my sitting form on the steps.

"M-Mikasa..." I muttered, my voice cracking.

She looked at me with worried eyes. And there I broke down once again and embraced her. Tears spilling out.

"Mikasa!...h-he proposed to Audrey!...w-what about me?..." my voice was shaky and my lips quivered from every word.

Mikasa hugged back, patting my back soothingly.

"I'm sorry..." she muttered. I continued on crying, as Mikasa pats my back.

"What now? my pretends? the fake relationship with Levi? the pretend engagement? It all failed" I said as I managed to calm down a little.

Mikasa sighed.

"I'll ask Hanji about it, leave it to me"

I nodded then pulled away from our small embrace and wiped away my tears.

"Thanks..." I muttered.

"What?" Me and Mikasa snapped our gaze towards the door. And there stood a shocked looking Audrey.

"Everything? your relationship and engagement with Levi is fake?" Audrey said, her face filled with pure disbelief.

Me and Mikasa could not reply, not a single word came out, not a protest nor an exclamation, we were completely frozen on our spots. Speechless. Audrey knows it already.

Audrey's expression changed, she raised an eyebrow then smirked evilly. She scoffed "Pathetic..." she said "and to think it was real, and you did that to make Eren jealous? so he could go back to you and get him back?" Audrey laughed. Then her laughing stopped "Well, guess what? your not gonna get him from me, he already proposed. Our relationship lasted. Unlike yours, he cheated on you so he could get to me" she finished with a cold smirk at me. Pride in her eyes. Every word struck me like lightning. And theres no way I would let her get away with it.

Something inside me snapped. I charged at her.
