Fever pt.1

Skye had woken up with an enormous urge to throw up anything left in her stomach, she ran to the bathroom and her knees hit the floor as she emptied the contents of her stomach into the toilet, she sat up wiping her mouth with a towel "uhh come on baby girl let me eat" she whimpered before slowly heading back into the room, she threw on one of klaus button up shirts and headed downstairs seeing Hayley already up "you okay? I think the whole house heard that" she smirked teasingly "yea I'm fine. This baby just doesn't like food apparently" she laughed back before heading to the fridge "I'm just so hungry" she whined before looking for milk "morning girls" Elijah situated himself at the doorway glancing at Hayley who smiled back "morning" but he couldn't help but rake his eyes over Skye in her little black shorts and white button up shirt "hey lijah" she smiled so brightly it warmed his heart but he quickly shoved his feelings back down, she was pregnant with his brothers child. She turned to him with a pained expression "I know Hayley and I are the only ones in this house that drink milk but would it kill you guys to make sure it's on the shopping list?" She crosses her arms over her small bump she was barley showing but just enough to have a small dome, he simply smiled at the ground before walking to stand in front of her his chest just millimetres away from hers looking down at her with a smile and reaching to grab the milk he had gone out and bought specifically for Skyes coco pops he handed it to her softly and took a small step back "oh....milk...thank you" she smiled before opening the cereal cupboard but she soon realised what she wanted was out of her reach, she tried to grab it but to no avail "can someone please..." she sighed getting frustrated "ugh I would climb up but it's to risky" she used air quotes around risky because Niklaus had once caught her doing it and nearly had a heart attack about her safety. Hayley watched intently as Elijah walked over and took the box down from the shelf for her with a certain smile on his face. She felt a pang of jealousy but she also understood that he had spent 1000 years with Skye so there was bound to be feelings there. She also understood that he couldn't act on them which for a selfish and unknown reason made her happy.

"Could you also add bleach to that shopping list" Rebekah states as she walks into the room dragging a dead body behind her making Elijah look down in guilt "hey don't be like that. We understand. You spent ages in a box thanks to your brother so you need to feed" Hayley butted in causing him to look at her with a small smile "I do hope in my absence my siblings were fair to you" he smiles at her "well they have no problem looking after Skye but they kept me safe too" Hayley smiles "safe?! I was nearly killed by vampires in the quarter, I constantly have to worry that someone will kill Sophie to kill me and my baby and hunted by witches in the woods who were convinced my baby is lucifer! But I do guess they got me out of most of it." She sighed "yes. About these witches. I think it's time we sorted this out" elijah adjusted his collar "you mean Davina breaking the link?" Hayley asked curiously and Elijah nods "right. Who do we have to kill?" Skye asked with her arms folded "no one" Skye raises her eyebrow with a smirk and Elijah can't help but hold a grin on his face "alright potentially everyone" Hayley laughed and carried on eating "let's get some witch bitch revenge" she rubbed her hands together like a child "your a witch" Hayley commented "barley I can't do anything right now. I tried lighting a flame last night and it took me five attempts" Elijahs brows furrow "maybe it's the fact that your child has all three genes. Maybe she's using more of your strength than we thought. Maybe you need a different type of breakfast?" Skye clocked on and knew what he meant. Blood. She instantly began to feel sick so she excused herself and ran upstairs to throw up again in her toilet. She felt the hair being held behind her head and soothing strokes caress her back "I've got you love" klaus smiles sympathetically as she begins to sit up. Leaning against him as she catches her breath wiping her mouth with yet another towel "your gonna need more towels" she smirked lightly "I'll have a thousand brought to you my queen" he kisses her forehead "our little wolf not treating you so well?" She shook her head "elijah thinks I need to feed on blood because she's got both genes and vampire blood in her. He thinks she's why I can't do magic right now" a saddened look crosses her face "my love if you think it will help I'm here to help you" he holds her in his arms. He's only soft for her. Always her. "I know. But it makes me feel sick. I'll think about it" he smiles at her before helping her stand "right I'm gonna go brush my teeth and then I can get a good morning kiss" she smiled as he laughs at her goofiness, his stone heart had cracked now that she was back, and the light was slowly seeping through. The more time he spent with her the better he wanted to be, all for her. He wanted to give her the world but he was already her world. She came back and leant up on her tip toes to kiss him, he wrapped his arms around her waist and her around his shoulders as they melted into one another. When they separated they rested their foreheads together softly "I have business to attend to today. Will you be alright here with the girls" he still holds her in his arms "I'll be fine Nik. You be safe okay" she smirks and he looks into her bright blue eyes in awe "always my love. Especially when I get to come home to you" they share another sweet kiss before klaus leaves to tend to business
