Unknown location
In a small dark room untidy papers were lightly shuffled by a gentle breeze that invaded the room. A picture that was loosely hanging from a cork board was picked up, it landed on a small desk beneath the bulletin board. The desk was accompanied by a single chair, the picture was then lightly carried away by another breeze further into the room, it danced over an overused twin bed whose age and usage was evident at first glance. The journey continued as it swayed passed a nightstand that supported a lamp whose beams was inadequate and whose shade cast a shadow over most of the room. The picture did not linger as another light gust caused it to float to the door. But its adventure was short-lived for the more it went in the room the further it went from the reaches of the breeze. As it got just a few feet short of the door the breeze died down and it was left there to be forgotten.
The door busted open with force conjuring a little breeze and the picture was lifted once more only to fall back. Moments after it was again lifted, only this time by fingers and was now being securely put back from whence it came.
(Ryuk: I felt poetic! sue me 😝)
"There are signs that proves they are coming back" An excited voice spoke into a phone.
"We should not be too hasty though; we've waited this long" The chair that belonged to the desk was pulled out.
"I have watched and waited patiently I will not give up now or make any stupid moves" The chair creaked as weight was applied to it.
"The timing has to be perfect; I can't stress that enough" the one sided conversation continued.
"I will let you know of any new developments. Until then, just carry on with your regular day-to-day life." the call was ended.
The phone was carelessly thrown on the desk and the picture was once again removed from its beloved spot.
"I have waited so long for this moment Arthit, I stayed close by and watch you on a whim. Sometimes I felt like giving up, sometimes I was discouraged...
...on more than one occasion I really questioned if it was worth it. In the end I am glad I stayed; I am glad I didn't give up. If I did, I wouldn't have witnessed what happened a year ago or what happened again today."
"You came through for me today and after what happened with Knott, I got more than I bargained for. Soon this all would be over, and I will get to go home.
Back at the University
Kong's head hurt, after that fire drill caused them to leave hazing early yesterday Kong started to feel a slight headache. It was the end of the day, so he decided to go get some food, eat, take a shower and try to sleep it off.
This morning however, the headache was still present and not only that, he can't seem to remember parts of yesterday.
What he did remember though was that he got street side guy to notice him. When their eyes locked, he felt electricity danced through his body and he gasped as he felt a push towards the mystery boy. He could be mistaken but he thought he saw his eyes flashed blue. It was the most beautiful blue eyes he has ever seen even if it was just for a second and that alone in itself was worth the annoying P'Knott's punishments. Fortunately, he collapsed causing the seniors to set off the fire alarm resulting in his current headache...bright lights. Come to think of it, that was not an appropriate way to deal with a situation like that. What did their hazers teach them about handling an emergency back when they were freshman? and isn't there supposed to be first aid on site at all times? Kong had so many questions, he shook them off and started to get ready for the day.
...
Kong sped up next to his friend. "Em what's up?"
"You look like crap" Em stated dryly as he handed him the iced coffee, "It's just the second day and you're already getting a beat down from school that must be some kinda record."
"I have a killer headache" Kong supplied ignoring his friend unamusing statement. It is too early, and he hasn't had is coffee yet.
"I think I got it from the fire alarm going off so suddenly, you know...bright flashing lights" Kong said after he sat down, taking a sip of his coffee and feeling human again.
"I know right how wild that was? But I'm so glad we had a fire drill cause if we didn't P'Knott would have punished us."
"Speaking of, I wonder if he is ok, do you know what happened to him?" Kong asked since he went away right after he had no idea what happened to the head hazer.
"Dude what are you talking about? Why wouldn't he be ok?" Em asked looking puzzled at Kong
"Didn't P'Knott pass out in hazing yesterday?" Kong started to internally panic a little
"Hmmm", Em squinted his eyes until they were two slits then place the back of his hand on Kong's forehead, "Maybe I should take you to the doctor's office."
Kong slapped away Em's hand, "What exactly happened in the meeting yesterday? Tell me what you remember."
"Well you and P'Knott was going back and forth and he was about to give us punishment when the fire alarms went off and we had to leave the auditorium." Em furrowed his brow looking up at nothing as he recounted what happened.
"So, we all left including the hazers and P'Knott" Kong pressed
"Yup I can assure you he left, he was right in front of us. I guess your headache was distracting you from seeing him."
"Em, what did I do after?" Kong asked trying to keep the panic out of his voice.
"You went back to your room. Hey man you're being weird again are you sure you don't want to go to the doctor's" Em asked looking at Kong with concern.
"Naw I'm ok"
"Damn I was hoping you would have said yes" Em confessed.
Kong was already up and walking forgetting about his friend as he tried to make sense of the world wind that was spinning in his ahead, paired with the headache he was currently experiencing.
He was sure this all was related to street side guy. Simply because his memory was jacked up only twice and both occasions followed a meeting with the mystery boy. It seems however it is only happening to him or is it that he is fabricating these encounters. But what reason would he have to do it and how do you explain the blood and his car?
Whatever the case one thing he was certain of... all of this was related to street side guy and chances are only he can fill in the gaps.
He had to meet that guy
