That feeling you're feeling when it's first day of school, excitement. Finally! The class is on! Well, I know that not all students are excited in first day of school but I am usually like this. But when it's already in the middle month, like November, I feel bored and suddenly wants the school to end. But when the summer is about to end I feel excited for the first day of school. I am so dang weird. I know.

I glanced at my alarm clock, it says 5:29 am, 1 more minute and I'm up...

*KRIIIIIING!*

I immediately turned off my alarm clock and got up, this always happens whenever I'm excited, I woke up earlier than my alarm, lol.

But wait, why on earth am I speaking in english? Anyway! Ako nga pala si Claudine Neri, and yes I'm a senior now. Yebaaaah!

I heard someone knocked on my door so I went to open it and it shows the smiling face of my Mom.

"C'mon, baka ma-late ka pa sa first day of school mo." she said, I nodded and went after her.

Pagkababa ko ay naka-handa na ang almusal namin and also my things in school, napa-iling na lang ako.

"Eat now, ako na ang bahala sa bed mo." she said smiling while putting the bacon on my plate, I pouted.

"But mom, I'm already 16! I should be the one--"

"Whatever Claudie, you're still my baby."  she said and she gave me her sweetest smile, I just sighed in defeat.

I know that maganda sa pakiramdam na wala kang ginagawang mga gawaing-bahay dahil may mga maids kayo and you're mom is always there to give you anything you want but I tell you, it's not good. I want to be independent! I want to cook my own food, clean my own room, prepare my own things and all the things a grown-up should do.

Am I exaggerating? I don't think so, I get it, that Mom's are made to take care of their family but they should also teach their children to do household chores! Hindi sa lahat ng pagkakataon nandyan ang mga parents natin that's why we need to learn those things in order to survive on our own. Especially that my Mom is always out because of business trips and my dad is in a faraway land, so who am I suppose to lean on? The maids? Nah, I don't trust them.

"Mommy..." I said, she looked at me while she's busy writing something on a folder, business.

"Yes dear? You need anything?" she said and gave me a warm smile.

I sighed, I bit my lip, thinking if I should say it or not.

"Is there something wrong?" she said worriedly, nag-iwas agad ako ng tingin.

"N-nothing, anyway, is Ella coming?" sabi ko, I can't say it.

Napasinghap nalang siya. I know she's wondering what I was suppose to say awhile ago.

"Nope, sa school nalang daw kayo magkikita, emergency." she said bahagyang napakunot ang noo ko sa sinabi niya, now what is Ella up to again?
